A bucket seat for a vehicle is disclosed in which the backrest portion is hinged about an axis lying forward of the center of the seat, thus providing greater safety to passengers in the back seat and additional space for access to and egress from the back seat.

Bucket seat

The invention relates to a console for connecting a vehicle seat with attachment points provided on a floor of a vehicle. The invention is characterized by two substantially identical cross supports which are screwed together at their two side surfaces with respective side supports at selectable locations. Each side support has a mounting point for the vehicle seat. The two substantially identical cross supports are provided, at least in the area of two longitudinal end sections, with two spaced-apart adjacent rows of holes extending in the longitudinal direction of the two substantially identical cross supports. The holes can be selected by pairs for the protrusion of connecting elements so that two connecting straps for each of the two substantially identical cross supports, which straps can be attached at the attachment points on the floor of the vehicle, can be connected to their respective substantially identical cross supports in variable positions.

Console for a vehicle seat

A headrest for vehicles, especially motor vehicles, is disclosed which comprises a hollow upholstery support mounted for limited pivotal movement on a holder comprising two shanks secured to a vehicle backrest. Stop elements for limiting the pivotal movement are provided for each shank of the holder and abut against the front wall of the support on opposite sides of the pivotal axis of the support. The upholstery support in one embodiment comprises a pair of shells or front and rear support elements made of plastic and having different strength characteristics. The front support element is designed to absorb the forces of the stop elements and the rear support element is designed to be deformable to provide improved safety for passengers seated behind the headrest.

Headrest for vehicles

A vehicle seat having a back rest and a shoulder support pivotally connected thereto is disclosed. The back rest and shoulder support are formed as upholstery support shells with the shoulder support pivotably mounted to the upper portion of the back rest. The shoulder support shell has a bottom portion inclined forwardly from the back rest shell from the pivotal connection thereto and is provided with top and side edges which overlap the top and side edges of the back rest shell. An adjusting and setting mechanism is provided for rotating and setting the shoulder support in a selected rotational position relative to the back rest. The shoulder support also includes mounting elements for a head rest.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat with a pivotable backrest connected arrestably with the seat part in selectable positioning, the backrest carrying at least one seat accessory part. As a seat accessory part - carrier at least on one of the sides of the backrest a parallelogram is provided with two connecting rods extending in the longitudinal direction of the back. The parallelogram comprises a first connecting rod which is a part of the pillow carrier of the backrest, which part is pivotal about the pivot axis of the backrest, and a second connecting rod which on the one hand is articulated at an unchangeable position relative to the pivot axis of the backrest and on the other hand is articulated to a connection part of the parallelogram which in turn is pivotally connected with the first connecting rod. The seat accessory part which is to be carried is supported at least in its position of use on both connecting rods pivotal relative to the latter.

A head support particularly for use with motor vehicle seats is disclosed. The head support comprises a padded support member which is mounted on a pair of support bars, the later being fixedly secured to the back of the vehicle seat. The padded support comprises a body having a U-shaped cross-section which is adjustably swivellingly connected to the support bars by means of molded connecting bodies which, in turn, are vertically adjustable along the support bars. The connecting bodies and adjusting and swiveling mechanisms are located interiorly of the padded support to provide maximum safety for the vehicle occupants.
