An apparatus () for generating a rotating laser beam () which may used for various applications including welding, cutting, drilling or ablation of materials. More particularly, the apparatus is able to produce a fast rotating and accurate laser beam, because the main optical device () that is rotated consists of a reflecting surface () rotating about an axis (X) that it intersects.

Apparatus for generating a rotating laser beam

The present invention relates to an apparatus () for generating a rotating laser beam () which may used for various applications including welding, cutting, drilling or ablation of materials. More particularly, the apparatus () according to the present invention is able to produce a fast rotating and accurate laser beam, because the main optical device () that is rotated consists of a first reflecting surface () rotating about an axis (X), a second reflecting surface () having an annular shape, wherein the first reflecting surface () redirects said laser beam in to the direction of the second reflecting surface (), which reflects said laser beam towards said axis (X).

The tail light comprises several light emitting diodes used as light sources. At least one of these diodes generates light emitted into a backward direction. The other diodes are emitting light into lateral and upward directions. For this purpose an arrangement of reflecting surfaces deflects part of the light of the diodes upwardly. In this way it is possible to reach a required light distribution at a considerably reduced power consumption.

Tail light for a bicycle

The headlight has a light ray guiding disk which is domed towards the source of light. This light ray guiding disk is structured as integral formed article and includes at its central zone, which has the smallest distance from the source of light, a collective lens structure. By means of this a substantial portion of the light rays emitted from the source of light into a spatial angle in front of the source can be focussed in the direction of the axis of the headlight. The light ray guiding disk can be manufactured as simple formed article. A transparent ring in a signal color is foreseen outside the light ray guiding disk. By means of this disk the stray light is utilized for a lateral marking when the headlight is used e.g. in a bicycle lighting arrangement.
