A rope is formed of multiple separate strands including at least one soap supply strand, at least one bristle strand and multiple absorbent strands. These strands extend between a proximal end of a distal end of the rope. The bristle strands include bristle bundles extending radially therefrom, preferably concentrated at a central portion of the bristle strands. The soap supply strand has a hollow interior and slits which allow soap to ooze out and be accumulated on the absorbent strands. A liquid soap reservoir is attached to one end of the soap supply strand which can be squeezed to cause soap to ooze out of the slits and be collected upon the absorbent strands. A handle and the liquid soap reservoir at opposing end of the rope allow the bathing tool of elongate flexible form to be maneuvered for scrubbing and washing of skin of a bather.

A method of operating a spring assisted folding knife includes the steps of: providing a spring assisted folding knife including a handle, a blade, a transfer bar assembly contained in a transfer bar assembly recess, a helical spring, and a coiled torsion spring; and pivotally moving the blade to overcome a blade closed bias force provided by the helical spring pressing against the transfer bar assembly followed by a blade opened bias provided by the coiled torsion spring, or to overcome a blade opened bias provided by the coiled torsion spring followed by a blade closed bias force provided by the helical spring pressing against the transfer bar assembly.

Spring-assisted folding knife

A kit allows for replacement of an internal combustion engine with a traction motor, batteries and electric generator. A current controller can be provided for optimization of electrically interconnections of the generator and batteries to the traction motor. Various electric power generating accessories can be incorporated into the kit including ram air turbines and solar panels. Cooling for the equipment can be supplied by a radiator and fan which can also optionally function as a ram air turbine. Power output accessories can be incorporated into the kit including an inverter for supplying AC power to AC power utilizing tools and other equipment, as well as emergency power for stationary facilities.

A folding knife includes a lock blade and a handle. The handle includes a transfer bar assembly and a blade opener spring. When the lock blade is closed, a spring working in conjunction with the transfer bar assembly biases the lock blade closed. When the lock blade is opened past a certain point, a blade opening spring assists in moving the lock blade into its open locked position.

Cartridge holder

An automatic folding knife having a sear provided on a pivoting blade, and an engagement member, configured for upward movement, for selectively engaging the sear. The engagement member extends generally to the exterior of each side portion of the handle. A spring-biased cable biases the blade towards the extended position, and the engagement member is configured for engaging the sear upon the blade being in the retracted position. The blade is configured to automatically pivot from the retracted position to the extended position upon the engagement member being lifted upwardly, and the engagement member also automatically locks the blade in the extended position. The knife can readily be converted to an assisted opening knife having in significant part the components of the automatic knife.

Convertible knife system

An assisted opening folding knife having a blade with an engagement surface extending generally radially outwardly with respect to the pivot axis of the blade. A cantilevered leaf spring contacts the engagement surface and immediately urges the blade to the extended position upon the blade pivoting through a predetermined angle from the retracted position. An elongated engagement member is pivotally connected to the handle and configured for pivoting between a blade locking position and an unlocking position. In one embodiment, the cantilevered leaf spring also urges the engagement member towards the blade locking position. The engagement member automatically locks the blade in the extended position, and the cantilevered leaf spring, the blade, and the engagement member all substantially extend in the pivot plane.

Handle texturing

A utility knife for receipt of a blade and including a handle and a blade carrier pivotally connected to the handle. A threaded fastener fastens a blade retainer to the blade carrier, and the threaded fastener is preferably configured for engagement by the user's hand to move the blade carrier between the retracted position and the extended position. A locking member automatically locks the blade carrier in an extended position upon the blade carrier being moved to the extended position. An actuator moves the locking member against the force of a spring from the locking position to the unlocking position, the actuator extending from the first side of the handle to the second side of the handle. A storage compartment is configured for receipt of plurality of blades, and a closure member allows selective access to such blades.

Folding utility knife

A further folding knife which automatically locks upon being moved to the open position. The knife includes a blade having a tang with a ledge portion defined in an upper region of the tang for receipt of a sliding bolt. The bolt is provided for sliding movement within a channel defined in the handle, and the bolt is urged forwardly towards the tang of the blade by a bolt spring, such as a coil spring. A band is connected at one end to the bolt, and the other end of the band is connected to a spool, which is carried for rotation within the handle. The spool can be rotated with respect to the handle to cause a winding of the band thereon, which in turn causes retraction of the bolt, such that the blade can be pivoted out of a locked extended position, towards a retracted position.

Self locking folding knife

Spring-assisted folding knife designs having a coil spring, cable, and spool arrangement for pivoting a blade from a retracted position to an extended position. Activation of the spring system can be accomplished a pushbutton mounted on the side of the knife's handle, or through depression of a locking lever carried on the back side of the handle. Once moved to the extended position, the blade is automatically locked in that position through the pushbutton mechanism in one embodiment, or, in the other embodiment, through a liner lock.

Folding knife

A blade sharpener having a magazine slidably carried within a sleeve. The magazine contains two sets of three sharpening wheels carried for rotation within the magazine, which are positioned in a staggered relationship with respect to one another, such that each set of three sharpening wheels forms two sharpening interfaces. Two channels are defined in the magazine and are generally in alignment with each of the two sharpening interfaces. The magazine is movable with respect to the sleeve, and may be selectively fixed in at least three positions relative thereto with a spring-biased pushbutton. For storage or transport, the magazine is moved into the sleeve such that both sets of the sharpening wheels are housed within the sleeve. The magazine of the blade sharpener is also provided with an elongated sharpening rod which is pivotally connected to the magazine, and which is used to sharpen serrated blades.

Blade sharpener

A locking knife and sheath combination which provides for automatic locking of the knife when inserted to the sheath and which allows release of the knife from the sheath by a squeezing of the knife's handle. The handle is provided with a locking lever on each edge thereof which engages with receivers on the sheath. The locking levers are spring-biased outwardly such that insertion of the knife into the sheath causes automatic engagement of the locking levers with the receivers on the sheath. Simultaneous inward squeezing of both of the locking levers, occasioned by the user's grasping of the knife's handle, causes the knife to disengage from the sheath to allow removal of the knife therefrom.

A folding knife having a blade pivot connecting a blade to a handle for pivotal movement between an extended position outside of the blade cavity and a retracted position substantially within the blade cavity. A spring biased plunger having a first end and second end opposite the first end is provided, and the first end of the plunger includes a pivotal connector pivotally connecting the plunger to the handle within the blade cavity. The second end of the plunger is pivotally connected to the blade for orbital movement about the blade pivot as the blade moves between the retracted and extended positions. A pivotable locking member is connected to the handle for selectively locking the blade in the extended position. Further, an engagement portion is provided for opening the blade using a downward motion.
