A positive lock pin for locking a plurality of objects together includes an upper housing in communication with a handle housing. The handle housing has a shaft member located therein. The shaft member is rotatable with respect to the handle housing and has a slot formed in an upper portion thereof. The shaft member also has a pair of recesses formed therein. The shaft member is in communication with a pair of retention mechanisms disposed within the handle housing. Each of the pair or retention mechanisms is in communication with a respective opening formed in the handle housing. The pair of retention mechanisms are moveable between a locked position where an outermost point thereof extends outwardly from a respective opening and an unlocked position wherein the outermost point does not extend outwardly from the respective opening and a respective retention mechanism rests in one of the recesses. The movement of the retention mechanisms occurs upon rotation of the slot and the shaft member.

Positive lock pin

A positive lock quick release pin for locking a plurality of objects together includes a handle portion which is in communication with a handle housing. The handle housing has an interior cavity within which a shaft member is disclosed. The pin also includes a ball retention mechanism located in the handle portion that is moveable between a locked position where the mechanism extends outwardly of an opening formed in the handle housing and an unlocked position where the ball mechanism extends no further than the outer edge of the opening. The ball retention mechanism is moved between the locked position and the unlocked position by reciprocation and rotation of the shaft member within the handle housing.

The handle housing has an interior cavity within which a shaft member is disposed. The pin also includes a pair of retention mechanisms located in the handle portion that are moveable between a locked position where the mechanism extends outwardly of a slot formed in the handle housing and an unlocked position where the mechanisms extend no further than the outer edge of the opening. The retention mechanisms include a pair of plates that rotate upon reciprocal movement of the shaft member to move the retention mechanisms between the locked position and the unlocked position.

Quick install positive lock pin

A modal survey flexure fixture of designed to be soft laterally and stiff axially to simulate the same behavior of space shuttle flight latches which support shuttle payloads for payload modal survey verification, qualification and test. The device consists of three major components: an A-Frame which supports flexure rods attached to a trunnion clamp. Flexure rods made of stainless steel with a partially reduced cross section at both ends increase the lateral flexibility for simulating flight conditions. The trunnion clamp is a unique design which takes into account payload integration with the test fixture. The trunnion clamp can be split into upper and lower portions. During the modal survey the lower trunnion clamp acts initially as a place holder for payload installation and alignment. After payload installation and alignment the lower trunnion clamp is combined with the upper trunnion clamp to complete the test fixture configuration.
