The invention relates to a production line () for assembling and/or processing components () transported on workpiece holders (), incorporating several conveyor sections () disposed one after the other, each of which has at least one separate forward feed mechanism () which is independent of the adjacent conveyor sections () and at least one co-operating guide mechanism with two oppositely lying guide tracks (), along which the workpiece holder () disposed between them, incorporating guide elements to provide a height and lateral guiding action, can be moved and positioned. The guide elements of the workpiece holder () have a groove-shaped recess for engaging in the guide tracks () spaced at a distance apart from one another transversely to the feed direction () and at least one guide track () is provided in at least one of the conveyor sections () which can be raised by means of an adjusting mechanism from a non-operating position outside an obstruction gauge of the workpiece holder () into a position above the transport plane () and displaced into an engaged position locating with the recesses of the guide elements transversely to a longitudinal direction of the guide track ().

The invention describes an installation (1) for processing and/or assembling of components (2) with a conveying device (5, 6) connecting several workstations to one another, which, on a supporting frame (3) comprises a guidance device (13, 14) for a continuous surrounding conveying element (7, 8) with receptacles (15) for these components (2). This installation comprises parallel-running and at a preset distance (38) arranged guidance devices (13, 14) of at least two conveying devices (5, 6). The guidance devices (13, 14) or respectively the conveying devices (5, 6) are thereby secured by connecting devices (37, 134), in a direction extending transversely to the conveying direction, in a position at a distance (38) from one another.

Installation for processing and/or assembling components

A production installation comprises carriages supporting pallet trays carrying structural components or individual parts for assembly or processing, identical couplings for detachably coupling each one of the pallet trays to a respective carriage, a container for the structural components or individual parts readily exchangeably arranged on each pallet tray, a conveyor track comprised of individual and separable conveyor track sections, each conveyor track section comprising vertical and lateral guideways for the carriages, and a feed device at each conveyor track section operable for conveying the carriages independently of each other along the vertical and lateral guideways of the conveyor track.

Production installation

A production installation for assembling or processing structural components comprises drive pallets carrying the structural components or the individual parts, the drive pallets comprising power-driven devices for handling the structural components or the individual parts, a conveyor track comprised of individual and separable conveyor track sections, each conveyor track section comprising vertical and lateral guideways for the drive pallets, a feed device at each conveyor track section operable for conveying the drive pallets independently of each other along the vertical and lateral guideways of the conveyor track, a source for supplying operating energy and/or data to the power-driven handling devices on the drive pallets at selected locations along the conveyor track, and a handling device at each one of the selected locations.

An installation for processing or assembling components has a succession of transport and work stations. Each station comprises a housing including a lower base frame, an upper base frame and a table plate mounted on the upper base frame. The table plate of at least one housing supports a straight conveying track for a pallet carrying the components and the table plate of at least one housing supports intersecting conveying tracks for the pallet. The housings have the same dimensions in length and width, and the width of each housing is shorter than the length. The table plate defines a recess receiving a forward feed mechanism for conveying the pallet along the conveying tracks. A supporting plate carrying the forward feed mechanism is affixed to the table plate. A belt drive for the forward feed mechanism projects a distance no greater than the average thickness of a human finger above the table plate.

Assembly line

The invention relates to a production installation (1) for assembling and/or processing components (3) made up of a plurality of piece parts (4). In this installation, the piece parts (4) and/or the components (3) are disposed and/or assembled and/or processed on pallet trays (6). The pallet trays (6) are interchangeably disposed on the running mechanisms (2). The running mechanisms (2) are guided along the conveyor track of a conveying device. The conveyor track has parallel conveying paths (19) which are disposed in sections parallel to a main conveying at (18) and are connected by transverse conveying paths (21) to the main conveying path (18). A subsidiary conveying path (20) is associated with the parallel conveying path (19), directly adjacent and extending parallel to it. This subsidiary conveying path is preferably connected by transfer stations to the transverse conveying or parallel conveying path (21 or 19) and/or to the main conveying path(18).

Installation for manufacturing and/or assembling components

This invention relates to an apparatus for the aligning and/or sorting, and if applicable separating, individual parts in particular such parts that are connected to each other or remain adhered to each other. The apparatus comprises a machine frame and a first conveying device mounted thereon. A storage area for a disordered quantity of the individual parts is arranged in front of the conveying device and a linear second conveying device for the aligning and/or sorting the individual parts is arranged so as to follow the first conveying device. The storage area is exchangeably connectable to the conveying device, with the interposition of a docking device.
