An electronic balance with a weighing scale which is connected via a parallel guide to a system carrier, and with a translation lever which is rotatably mounted on the system carrier and onto the shorter lever arm of which the force of the weight acting on the balance scale is transferred via a coupling element and on the longer arm of which the coil of an electromagnetic compensation of force is fastened, that at least one spring touches the translation lever for the purpose of astatization, the line of application of which spring passes through the point of rotation of the translation lever. This results in a compact design and a good efficiency of astatization. It is advantageous to use a wire or a band and/or a laterally jutting-out projection on the translation lever as spring.

Electronic balance

It is disclosed for a balance with a scale on top based on the principle of the electromagnetic compensation of force with a system carrier fixed to the housing, with a load receiver, with two guide rods which connect the load receiver to the system carrier in a vertically movable direction as parallel guide, whereby the stem carrier, the two guide rods and the load receiver are designed as a one-piece casting, with a translation lever and with a coupling element between load receiver and translation lever, whereby the force from the load receiver corresponding to the mass of the weighed material is transferred via the coupling element to the shorter lever arm of the translation lever and the coil of the electromagnetic compensation of force is fastened to the longer lever arm of the translation lever that the system carrier comprise lateral projections which extend into the area between the guide rod arms. This achieves a distinct reinforcement of the system carrier without having to increase the outer dimensions of the system. The stability of the entire system can be further increased by means of further reinforcement measures in the lad receiver and in the guide rod arms.

A wind guard for a balance is suggested which consists of at least two cylindrically curved wall elements, in which each wall element is connected to a corresponding segment of the circular covering surface. In this manner, the balance scale is readily accessible both from the side and also from above when the wind guard is open.

In an analytical balance with a pan and a four-bar mechanism which keeps the balance pan parallel horizontally during its vertical travel, the one vertical side of which is held fast to the housing, the other vertical side of which, in the form of a coupling piece, carries an extension which receives the pan, and both horizontal sides of which are connected in an articulated manner by an upper and a lower rod to the vertical sides, whereby the four-bar mechanism is loaded by the restoring force of a load converter, the extension (16) which receives the pan (17) is L-shaped, the horizontal L-shank (pan arm) (16') carries the pan (17) rigidly connected to its free end and the vertical L-shank (bearing arm) (16') is mounted on the bar (18'') of a U-shaped arm bearing (18) which projects above and below over the vertically movable end (9) of the four-bar mechanism (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) with its two horizontal U-shanks (18, 18') in the rod planes and is rigidly fastened to it in two vertically superposed bearings (118'). Such a construction avoids the introduction of damaging torques from the extension (16) and the balance pan (17) into the sensitive parallel guide (5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

Analytical balance

Electronic weigher apparatus is disclosed which utilizes a plate situated below the weighing scale and above a load receiver which is part of an electronic weight measuring system. The plate is shaped in such a way that thermal air currents generated by the electronic apparatus are carried through a low air resistance path from the interior to the exterior of the weigher casing while a high resistance airflow path prevents air currents from being carried upward from the electronic apparatus to the weighing scale. A collar encircling the scale prevents external air currents from disturbing it during the loading operation.

An electromagnetic force-compensating weigher with a load supporting device resiliently supported by resilient joints and movable between stops, wherein electric circuitry is connected to produce a slowly decaying mechanical oscillation upon the load supporting device, to thereby reduce the spring hysteresis of the resilient joints.

Apparatus for overload protection of precision or analysis scales having a parallel-guided load support with limit stops to limit the range of movement thereof, comprises an auxiliary parallel guide connection between the weighing pan and load support, and resiliently yieldable means connected between the weighing pan and load support to yield under excessive or improperly placed loads and thus protect the scale mechanism. The resiliently yieldable means may comprise the auxiliary parallel guide or may comprise a separate means.
