A method and system for the wireless interrogation of a body immersed in a circulatory bath or a tank for heating. More specifically, the system may include a probe having multiple sensors for gauging a core temperature associated with the immersed body in combination with one or more wireless connections leading to a controller (on a circulator or a user interface) such that the user can determine temperature information (e.g., core temperature) of the body being immersed.

An apparatus having a cryogenic storage box able to withstand temperatures down to at least negative (&#x2212;)180 degrees Celsius. The cryogenic storage box includes a lid member coupled to a base member via a hinge. The lid member includes slots and magnets held therein via pressure. The base member also includes slots having magnets held therein via pressure, as well as vial supports configured to support vials in an upright position. When the lid member is in a closed position, each lid magnetic aligns with a base magnet along a respective vertical axis to magnetically couple the lid member to the base member.

The device includes an accelerometer for measuring an angle by which the container is tilted, and an electronic component for transmitting data based on the angle measured by the accelerometer. In some embodiments, the accelerometer measures the angle by which the container is tilted at a multiple different times.

A light, such as a miniature flashlight, includes a housing adapted to hold a battery, a voltage step-up circuit disposed so as to come into electrical contact with the battery when the battery is placed in the housing and an illumination device, such as a light emitting diode (LED), electrically connected to the voltage step-up circuit. The voltage step-up circuit increases the voltage provided by the battery to drive the LED, to thereby enable the flashlight to use a power source, such as a single standard AA battery, which provides a DC voltage below the turn-on threshold voltage of the LED.

An improved digital optical compact disc is disclosed which incorporates a further information storage element or area for storage and retrieval of track play selection information. The further storage area is comprised of defined information containing regions whose shading or alteration by the user indicates whether a corresponding track is to be skipped or played. An improved compact disc player reads the information containing defined regions and is capable of automatically selecting particular tracks for play. The information contained in the defined regions is stored in a format which is at-once visually-recognizable, machine-readable and manually-alterable.

A lighting fixture is slidably mounted on a track support which may advantageously be secured to any existing or available structure within or around the work space. In one preferred embodiment, it is secured to the side of a computer monitor which is either located on or adjacent to the work surface which is to be illuminated. The track support may be mounted on the computer monitor or other surface at any angle from vertical through horizontal thus providing a wide variety of options for an individual using the improved fixture of the present invention. The lamp fixture socket support is preferably rotatably mounted on a sliding car member which moves along the track support and also provides a first axis of rotation for the fixture. A reflector housing is also rotatably secured to the sliding car or fixture which thus provides a second axis of rotation for the fixture allowing greatest flexibility for positioning the lamp.

An apparatus by which a connection between a plug and a socket of computer-related equipment can be secured by the reception of male elements in openings associated with the socket. The apparatus includes a continuous belt, wrapped around a housing in which the plug is fixed. By the manipulation the belt, the male elements can be rotated in synchronized fashion. Advantageously, the belt is structured and may be made of a material that prevents overtorquing and, thereby, damage to the connector during rotation of the male elements.
