A fire protection coating and a fire barrier coated article are provided that comprise an inorganic binder and at least one inorganic filler, wherein the inorganic binder is selected from potassium silicate, sodium silicate, or a combination thereof, and wherein the at least one inorganic filler is selected from kaolin clay, talc, mica, mullite, phlogopite, muscovite montmorillonite, smectite, bentonite, illite, chlorite, sepiolite, attapulgite, halloysite, vermiculite, laponite, rectorite, perlite, and combinations thereof. The fire barrier article comprises flame resistant substrate layer having a first major surface and a second major surface, and a fire protection coating disposed on the first major surface of the flame resistant substrate layer.

Flame resistant materials for electric vehicle battery applications

An electrical connector configured to maintain an electrical connection with a conductor during heating and cooling cycles is provided. The electrical connector includes connector sections, each comprising a base portion and top portion extending from the base portion. Each connector section defines a portion of a channel configured to receive one or more conductors and includes a bore in its base or top portion that communicates with the channel. A fastener inserted into the bore is configured to retain the conductor inserted into the channel, and the top portions are configured to deflect substantially independently of each other to provide a spring force that secures the fastener against the conductor.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes a first jaw having a first set of insulation-piercing elements and a second jaw having a second set of insulation-piercing elements. The first and second sets of insulation-piercing elements are arranged such that at least one row of insulation-piercing elements from the first set of insulation-piercing elements is able to intermesh with at least one row of insulation-piercing elements from the second set of insulation-piercing elements when the first and second jaws are moved towards one another along a z-coordinate.

A connector module includes a conductive body configured to receive an end of at least one cable. A clamping member is provided for clamping the end of the cable against an interior wall of the body. A female electrical bus portion extends into a side of the body and is configured to receive a male bus portion of a mating connector module.

A mixture is provided comprising (a) at least one of an elastomeric thermoplastic, a non-elastomeric thermoplastic, an elastomeric thermoset and mixtures thereof, excluding polydiorganosiloxane fluids and (b) a polymer having soft polydiorganosiloxane units, hard polyisocyanate residue units, optionally, soft and/or hard organic polyamine residue units and terminal groups. The mixture may also optionally contain tackifying materials, free radical initiators, crosslinking agents, cure catalysts, and nonreactive additives such as fillers, pigments, stabilizers, antioxidants, flame retardants, plasticizers, compatibilizers and the like.

Polymer mixtures containing polydiorganosiloxane urea-containing components

A tackified composition comprising (a) a polydiorgannosiloxane polyurea segmented copolymer comprising the reaction product of (i) at least one polyaminie, wherein the polyamine comprises at least one polydiorganosiloxane diamine, or a mixture of at least one polydiorganosiloxane diamine and at least one organic polyamine, and (ii) at least one polyisocyanate, wherein the mol ratio of isocyanate to amined is between 0.9:1 and 0.95:1 or between 1.05:1 and about 1.3:1, and (b) silicate resins. The tackified compositions are useful as pressure sensitive adhesives, particularly for foamed backing tapes, medical tapes and the like, hot melt adhesives, vibration dampers, anti-corrosive materials.

Tackified polydiorganosiloxane polyurea segmented copolymers and a process for making same

An essentially solventless process for preparing a hot melt-processable release material comprises the step of providing reactants to a reactor, wherein the reactants comprise at least one backbone polymer having a grafting site that is reactive with a release component to selectively form a release moiety substituent at the grafting site; and a release component that is reactive with the grafting site. The release component is used in an effective amount for imparting release properties to the resulting release material. Also disclosed are release materials preparable thereby and coated substrates comprising the release material. Advantageously, release materials of the present invention are preparable and coatable using a single extruder.

The invention also provides methods of preparing the copolymers.

Tackified polydiorganosiloxane oligourea segmented copolymers and a process for making same

Melt-processable polydiorganosiloxane polyurea segmented copolymer compositions are provided. The compositions comprise alternating soft polydiorganosiloxane units and hard diisocyanate residue units, the diisocyanate residue being the diisocyanate minus the &mdash;NCO groups, the units being connected together by urea linkages which also provide hard units. The compositions are prepared by continuously providing at least one diisocyanate and at least one polydiorganosiloxane diamine to a reactor, mixing the diisocyanate and the polydiorganosiloxane diamine in the reactor under substantially solvent-free conditions, allowing the diisocyanate and polydiorganosiloxane diamine to react to form a polydiorganosiloxane polyurea copolymer, and conveying the copolymer from the reactor.

The present invention provides a release coated film, an adhesive tape comprising a release coated film, and processes for preparing the same. The fluoropolymer release layer comprises a graft copolymer of (i) a base polymer containing polymerized units derived from monomers having terminal olefinic double bonds, and (ii) a moiety comprising a fluoroaliphatic group. The film may be coextruded and may subsequently be oriented in at least one direction. Alternately, the release coating can be extrusion coated onto a backing and may be subsequently oriented if the backing is orientable. Adhesives may be coated onto the release coated films either before or after orientation, or they may be coextruded along with the release coating and/or backing.
