The present invention is directed to an aqueous dispersion composition which comprises an ethylene-unsaturated carboxylic acid ionomer resin (A) neutralized with a mixture of ions including at least one divalent metal ion and at least one ammonium ion, (B) a non-water soluble vapor phase corrosion inhibitor, and (C) water. The dispersion exhibits good shelf-life and excellent rust-prevention properties. Durable corrosion resistant ionomeric coatings can be easily formed therefrom, which when applied to metal surfaces and baked, can form a rust-preventive coating layer showing excellent coating adhesion both to the metal surface and to an over coat paint. Such coatings are particularly useful when applied to a vehicle body or part thereof.

Provided is a solar control composition comprising an infrared absorbing phthalocyanine, naphthalocyanine or rylene compound and an ethylene acid copolymer or an ionomer of an ethylene acid copolymer. Further provided are solar control laminates comprising the solar control composition of the invention.

The present invention provides compositions that are useful for compatibilizing a conventional, non-polar, compression refrigeration lubricant and a hydrofluorocarbon and/or hydrochlorofluorocarbon refrigerant in a compression refrigeration apparatus. Additionally, these compositions promote efficient return of lubricant from the non-compressor zones to the compressor zones of the aforesaid refrigeration apparatus.

Refrigerant compositions containing a compatibilizer

The present invention provides compositions that are useful for compatabilizing a conventional, non-polar, compression refrigeration lubricant and a hydrofluorocarbon and/or hydrochlorofluorocarbon refrigerant in a compression refrigeration apparatus. Separation of polymers

Methods are described for preparing aluminum nitride of controllable morphology for ceramic and heat conduction applications. The methods comprise forming spherical particles or flakes of an intermediate, RAlNH, followed by heating the spheres or flakes of RAlNH at elevated temperatures to produce high purity aluminum nitride of corresponding morphology. Spheres of RAlNH are formed by (i) freezing a suspension of RAlNH in a liquid medium and thawing, by (ii) aging the suspension, or by (iii) dissolving RAlNH in a liquid medium and precipitating it. Flakes are formed by freezing a suspension of RAlNH in a liquid medium and removing frozen medium from the frozen suspension.

Aluminum nitride flakes and spheres

The invention relates to ultrasound contrast agents comprising porous particles of an inorganic material containing an entrapped gas or liquid and having an average particle diameter of about 0.05 to 500 microns, said inorganic material being selected from one or more of the group consisting of: monomeric or polymeric borates; monomeric or polymeric aluminas; monomeric or polymeric carbonates; monomeric or polymeric silicas; and monomeric or polymeric phosphates; and pharmaceutically acceptable organic or inorganic cationic salts thereof.

A blend of from 10% to 100% 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane with at least one of 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane and pentafluoroethane as refrigerant mixed with a mono- or di-functional polyalkylene glycol based on at least 80% propylene oxide having an SUS viscosity at 100.degree. In a process for polymerizing a 1-olefin with a catalyst system comprising a reaction product of a porous alumina and an organometallic compound of the formula (RCH.sub.2).sub.4 M wherein M is Ti, Zr, or Hf and R is a group which is such that there is no hydrogen atom attached to an atom which is in the .beta.-position to M, and more specifically, R is aryl, aralkyl, tertiary alkyl, for example, trialkylmethyl, or trialkylsilyl, the improvement characterized in that the alumina has an average pore diameter of at least about 150 A and/or at least about 10% of the total pore volume of the alumina is provided by pores having diameters greater than about 200 A.

Process for preparing particulate, porous, amorphous water-insoluble poly(alumino-silicate) having a Si/Al ratio of 2:1 to 100:1, of high surface area, and in high yield, by mixing an aqueous solution of an alkali metal aluminate and an aqueous solution of silicic acid, allowing the aluminate and silicic acid in the resultant reaction mixture to polymerize to poly(alumino-silicate), and thereafter removing sufficient water from the reaction mixture to permit recovery of the particulate poly(alumino-silicate) therefrom; and particulate poly(alumino-silicate) prepared thereby.

Process for preparing amorphous particulate poly(alumino-silicate)
