Method for forming circuit traces continuously between both sides of a printed circuit board on a substrate with a profiled surface utilizes flexible artwork mask which is wrapped around edge of substrate and transparent mask holders profiled to hold the mask flushly against the surfaces and edge of the substrate.

Method for manufacturing two-sided circuit board

Interconnect strip for connecting rectangular photovoltaic cells into series strings comprises tabs spaced as collector pads on a cell to facilitate connection thereto and a bus portion for connection to the opposite side of an adjacent cell. The strip is laminated on both sides with dielectric to prevent short circuiting between opposite sides of the same cell when cell spacing is extremely close. Apparatus and method for automated manufacture of cell arrays employing laminated interconnect are also disclosed.

Electron beam welded photovoltaic cell interconnections

A connector for terminating flat multiconductor cable has a plurality of funnel entries at one end thereof which communicate with grooves in oppositely facing sidewalls of the connector to guide the conductors in the cable to new centerlines for termination to slotted plate ground and signal terminals located in rows of cavities in each of the sidewalls. Signal terminals are located at the opposite end of the connector and ground conductors are located on a common bus spaced between the ends.

Ribbon cable connector

A rotary waterproof splice connector for use with a plurality of insulated wires is disclosed. The connector includes two mutually rotatable cylindrical insulating members. Wire receiving tubular passages parallel to the axis of rotation intersect a plate-like contact terminal. Rotation of the two insulating members causes the terminal to establish electrical contact with wires located in the tubular passages. A viscous sealant is stored in the tubular passages at the interface between the wires and the terminal.
