The invention relates to an actuator () of a safety switch () for detecting and locking a specifiable state of an apparatus (), in particular for detecting and locking the closed state of a safety device of a machine () or the like, wherein the actuator () has an inductor () for a contact-free signal exchange with a reading inductor () of a switch element () of the safety switch (), and wherein the actuator () has a locking flank () on which a lock element () of the switch element () can be brought into locking contact and the actuator () can therefore be locked on the switch element (), characterized in that the inductor () has at least one winding extending around the locking flank () or around a recess or hole in the actuator () forming the locking flank () so that the at least one winding extends around the lock element () or around an extension of the lock element () in the state in which the actuator () is locked to the switch element (), as well as a safety switch having such an actuator.

An apparatus () monitors a protective device () of a machine (). The apparatus () has a switch housing () with a switch head () and an actuator (). In the closed state of the protective device (), the actuator interacts with the switch head () with that closed state being signaled. The apparatus () has a tumbler device () with a tumbler element () mounted movably in the apparatus () to lock releasably the closed state. The tumbler device () has a permanent magnet (). The magnetic force fixes the tumbler element () in a first position when the power supply to the apparatus () is switched off to lock the closed state of the protective device (), in a second position with the tumbler device () not locking the closed state.

An apparatus () for monitoring the state of a protective device () of a machine () in particular is a safety switch for monitoring the closed state of a protective door or the like. The apparatus () has a switch housing () with a switch head () and an actuator (). In the closed state of the protective device (), the actuator interacts with the switch head () and, as a result, the closed state of the protective device () can be signaled. The apparatus () has a tumbler device () with a tumbler element () mounted movably in the apparatus () and by which the closed state of the protective device () can be locked releasably. The tumbler device () has at least one permanent magnet (). A locking system () for a safety switch includes a read head () and an actuator (), each of which is provided with first or second componentry () encompassing electrical and/or electronic components that interact with each other in an electrically contactless manner, thereby controlling the safety switch. The locking system actuator () can be locked to the read head () by a switchable electromagnet () which interacts with a counterelement (). The locking action is controlled by a sensor element (), the output signal of which depends on the magnetic field generated by the electromagnet ().

A safety switch for monitoring movable protection devices comprises a switching member with at least one reading head, and an actuating element which can be moved in relation the reading head. The actuating element engages in contactless interaction with the reading head. The actuating element has an inductive reactance for interaction with the reading head.
