The invention relates to a hydro-pneumatic piston accumulator (), particularly for vehicle suspension systems, consisting of an accumulator housing () and a separating piston (), which is disposed free-floating inside the accumulator housing in a displaceable manner in the direction of the movement axis (). The separating piston separates an accumulator area () for a hydraulic medium from a pressure area () that is filled or is to be filled with a compressible medium, and is guided with an interior guide opening () on an elongated guide element (), which is axially fixed within the accumulator housing ().

Hydro-pneumatic piston accumulator

The invention relates to a suspension arrangement () for&#x2014;loading-bearing and resilient wheel support in a motor vehicle, having at least one spring cylinder () with a piston () which is guided in a cylinder () such that it can be moved relative to the latter and which, on one side, has a piston rod () guided out of the cylinder () in the outward direction. The piston () separates, within the cylinder (), a cylindrical working chamber () from an annular chamber (), which encloses the piston rod (). On the side of the working chamber (), in order to generate a load-bearing spring force (F), the piston () acts counter to a working pressure (pA) of an elastically compressible, in particular pneumatic spring medium (FM). Suspension arrangement for motor vehicles

The present invention relates to a suspension device for the load-bearing and resilient support of a wheel in a motor vehicle. The device comprises at least one spring cylinder with a piston which is guided in a manner moveable relative to it in a pressure cylinder. A driving device converts pivoting movement of a wheel oscillating-crank supporting arm, which movement oscillates about an oscillating-crank axis into the relative movements between the pressure cylinder and the piston. The piston acts counter to an elastically compressible spring medium in order to produce a load-bearing supporting spring force. The driving device is designed as a gearwheel mechanism.

Hydropneumatic suspension system

A hydropneumatic vehicle suspension system has two strut assemblies with hydraulic struts that act upon at least one hydropneumatic piston-type accumulator. The accumulator has a separating piston charged with hydraulic pressure on one side of a storage volume, pneumatic pressure on the other side of a spring chamber and a supplementary spring force via a separating piston rod that extends out of the piston-type accumulator. The supplementary spring force is generated by a pressure medium cylinder that acts upon the separating piston rod by connecting the pressure medium cylinder with at least one pressure accumulator that generates a prestress pressure.

Hydropneumatic suspension system with stabilization

A suspension system with at least one hydraulic spring strut. At least a portion of the hydraulic medium is displaced into a hydropneumatic spring reservoir during the compression movement of the spring strut, and that portion of the hydraulic medium flows back into the spring strut during the expansion movement. At least the expansion flow is conveyed through the flow path of a damping valve and damped due to the fact that the flow path is continuously closed and reopened in an alternating fashion by means of a valve element once a expansion flow is present. The valve element is bypassed via a bypass which is constructed in such a way that a pressure compensation between the sections of the flow path arranged on both sides of the valve element is ensured in the static condition in which essentially no flow is present; and that the bypass essentially loses this pressure compensation function in the dynamic condition in which a flow is present.

Suspension system for motor vehicles as well as damping valve for said

The present invention pertains to a suspension system, in particular, for wheel support of motor vehicles with at least one shock absorber leg consisting of a cylinder and a piston moving in this cylinder for contraction and extension, and actuated by a hydraulic medium, in particular, an oil. Preferably the suspension system is of the hydropneumatic design, whereby the hydraulic medium flows back and forth upon retraction and extension via a hydraulic connection between the shock absorber leg and at least one hydropneumatic shock absorber reservoir containing a compressible medium so that the reservoir generates a hydraulic pressure by compression of the compressible medium that causes a spring force in the shock absorber leg due to the pressure applied to the piston. During the extension of the shock absorber leg the connection between the cylinder chamber and the reservoir will be alternately blocked and opened via pressure differentials from the cylinder chamber and reservoir controlled by a damping valve.

Suspension system

A hydropneumatic suspension system for motor vehicles. The system contains at least one piston cylinder unit (202) including a cylinder (212) and a piston (214) cooperating with a spring storage system (204, 206) containing a compressible medium, where a hydraulic pressure (p.sub.3, p.sub.4) of the piston cylinder unit (202) acts against a pneumatic pressure (p.sub.1, p.sub.2) of the spring storage system. The pneumatic pressures are smaller than the respective hydraulic pressures. In a preferred embodiment, the piston (214) of the piston cylinder unit divides two pressure spaces (228, 230) whose volumes are varied in opposite directions, where the two pressure spaces are hydraulically separated from each other and are each connected to a separate spring storage system (204, 206).

The invention pertains to a damping valve(1), especially for hydraulic media in damping systems, such as shock or vibration damping systems and the like, with at least one throttling channel (38) equipped with a valve element for damping adjustment. The valve element at least partially covers the outlet mouth (40) of the throttling channel (38) and is designed as a leaf-spring element (42) clamped at one end, while the damping adjustment is accomplished by varying the length (1) of the free end of the leaf of the leaf-spring element (42).

A hydropneumatic suspension system having at least one shock and vibration damper including a cylinder-piston unit (2) provided with a gas storer (34) co-acting with a damping valve (60) provided with choke valves (88, 90, 92, 94). The choke valves (88, 90, 92, 94) include valve elements (96) biased with springs (98) in a closing direction of the valve elements (96). The bias tension of the springs (98) is variable by a setting member (100) acting on these springs (98) in common in a closing or opening direction of the valve elements (96). A load-dependent adjustment of the damping can be achieved, as the setting member (100) is driven by the pressure present inside the gas storer (34).

Yarn traversing system

A method and apparatus for winding a textile yarn into a cross-wound package is disclosed, in which the yarn is wound about the package at a substantially constant rate while the yarn is guided onto the package by a traversing guide. In order to avoid the formation of ribbons on the package, the traversing frequency of the yarn guide is periodically varied by shortening the stroke of the traversing yarn guide while maintaining an unchanged traversing speed of the traversing yarn guide. The avoidance of the formation of ribbons is also accomplished by varying the traversing speed of the traversing yarn guide during the times in which the traversing frequency of the traversing yarn guide is unchanged. Stops are provided for controlling the length of back-and-forth movement of the traversing yarn guide and the stops can be moved inwardly and outwardly to provide the required stroke modification of the traversing guide. Several specific embodiments of the yarn traversing apparatus are disclosed, and wherein the traversing apparatus includes gripper means mounted on a slide which is positioned between parallel runs of a drive belt, and control means for moving the gripper means to alternately engage the two runs of the belt and thus reciprocate the slide.
