An azo compound free from sulfonic acid groups of the formula ##STR1## wherein D is the radical of a diazo component, A is a p-phenylene radical which may be substituted, X is an --NH-- group, a sulfur atom or an oxygen atom, Y is a cycloaliphatic radical containing up to 12 carbon atoms, X' is an --NH-- group, a sulfur atom or an oxygen atom, R.sub.1 is an alkyl radical which may be substituted, R.sub.2 is an alkylene radical which may be substituted and R.sub.3 is an organic radical, and mixtures of said azo compounds with one another, with or without other azo dyestuffs.

Water-insoluble styryl dyestuffs of the formula ##STR1## in which X represents a cyano, carbo-lower alkoxy or phenylsulphone group, Y.sub.1 and Y.sub.2 each represents a hydrogen atom, an lower alkyl or lower alkoxy or phenoxy group, R represents a lower alkyl, phenyl-lower-alkyl, cyano-lower-alkyl, lower alkoxyalkyl or acyloxyalkyl group or a radical of the formula --A--S--B, and A represent a lower alkylene group that may be substituted by a lower alkanoyloxy or a benzoyloxy group and B represents a heterocyclic radical.

Azo dyestuffs containing at least one group of formula --X--CO--NR--SO.sub.2 aryl, wherein R is hydrogen alkyl or cycloalkyl and X is an oxygen or sulphur atom or a group of formula --NR.sub.1 --, wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen alkyl or cycloalkyl. The dyestuffs dye polyester fibers in fast shades.
