The container () has a base (), a sidewall () that surrounds the base (), and a spring plate () disposed inside the sidewall () between the cells () and the sidewall (). The spring plate () is free standing within the container () and applies a spring force to the cell array that restrains the cells () along an axis normal to the surface of the spring plates (). The lid () includes inwardly-protruding pins () that further restrain the cells () within the housing ().

A battery pack includes a housing and electrochemical cells disposed in the housing. The housing includes a container and a lid that closes an open end of the container. The container has a base, an outer wall the surrounds the base, and a first and a second inner wall disposed inside the outer wall. The first inner wall extends between, and is fixed to, a first portion and a third portion of the outer wall, and is spaced apart from a second portion and a fourth portion of the outer wall. The second inner wall extends between the first portion and the third portion, and is disposed between the first inner wall and the fourth portion. The second inner wall is movable relative to the outer wall such that spacing of the second inner wall from the first inner wall can be changed.

Sensor apparatus for monitoring at least one battery cell

The invention relates to a temperature sensor () for measuring a temperature of a battery system () for storing electrical energy and also for supplying an electric motor of a motor vehicle with electrical energy. The temperature sensor () has a sensor head () and connection wires () electrically coupled to the sensor head. At least one of the connection wires () is at least partially formed as a spring element () or forms at least part of a spring element (), wherein the spring element () is formed as a helical spring or as twisted. The invention further relates to a battery system () with at least one temperature sensor () for measuring a temperature of at least one battery cell (), wherein the temperature sensor () has at least one spring element (), which is mechanically attached to a sensor head () of the temperature sensor () and is fastened to the battery management system () in such a way that the sensor head () is pressed by the spring element () onto a measuring point () on a battery unit () of the battery system (). The invention also relates to a method for fitting such a battery system ().
