An elastic separating wall to be arranged between a gas chamber with a high pressure and a liquid chamber, particularly for a pressure accumulator, comprises an elastic separating wall member composed of a plurality of layers, the layers including at least two outer layers, and at least one inner layer composed of a material having a high gas permeability, means for connecting the elastic separating wall member to a wall of a container in a connecting region, and a passage arranged in the region and communicating with the inner layer with an atmosphere.

Ignition plug for internal combustion engines

A method of protecting a plant for coating objects with charged particles as well as a method and apparatus for coating objects is proposed. The generation of an electric arc having a too high energy which can cause an ignition of the particles to be applied onto the object is prevented by applying a test high voltage between the object to be coated and the respective earth connection. An insulation occurring between the object to be coated and the respective earth connection and having a contact resistance smaller than a permitted maximum value is overcome by an arcthrough of lower energy. The current flowing in the closed circuit is measured for determining the contact resistance of the insulation so that the operation of the plant can be stopped when the actual value of the current is below a minimum value as in this case the insulation cannot be overcome by the arcthrough as its contact resistance is higher than the permitted maximum value.

Method and apparatus of protecting a coating plant against explosion

An electric energy storage element having a housing and at least two ion pervious graphite electrodes connected by an ion-containing electrolyte. The storage element may be used as a secondary battery or as a condenser. During charging, the ionic component of the electrolyte forms ions which are implanted in the graphite electrodes.

A binder consisting of an aromatic polymeric material in which aryl groups are connected together by single-bond linkages over one or more atoms of carbon, sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus or silicon, preferably polyphenylene-sulfide, is mixed with carbon particles, with or without the addition of copper powder and the mixture is then pressed in a mold, removed from the mold, and sintered at a temperature of 300-500.degree.C, preferably about 350.degree.C for about an hour. Even without the presence of metal powder such brushes have qualities comparable to brushes cut from carbon plate material and conventional copper-containing brushes, and have substantially longer life than the former.
