The invention relates to a method and a corresponding arrangement for sequencing at least two biopolymers (), wherein for each biopolymer () a sequence signal is picked up by a respective measured variable pickup on the basis of the sequence of the biopolymer (), the sequence signals are transferred to a shift register () and buffer-stored therein, the buffer-stored sequence signals are transferred from the shift register () sequentially to an evaluation device () and evaluated therein. Each sequence signal is preferably produced here by means of a nanopore arrangement (). A corresponding sequencing arrangement () has the measured variable pickups and the shift register () integrated in it, preferably in an electrical circuit, that is to say on a sensor array, for example. Each sequence signal can be amplified here by a preamplifier () prior to transfer to the shift register (). The transfer of the output signal (A) to the evaluation device () can comprise the amplification of the signal by an output amplifier () and/or at least one EMCCD stage ().

A system for the integrated and automated analysis of DNA or protein, including a single-use cartridge, with an analysis device having a control device, and devices for capturing and processing signals, the control device carrying out a completely automatic process and evaluation of molecular diagnostic analysis via single-use cartridges (Lab-on-a-Chip). Controlling of an analysis process, which occurs in the cartridge, involves the subsequent displacement and thermostatisation of liquids with a first device, and with a second device the signals which are obtained during the analysis are processed. An arrangement and to a method are provided for the electrical detection of liquid samples by lateral flow assays. The lateral flow assay includes a membrane arranged on a front side of a first carrier. The first carrier is electrically insulating. On the front side of the first carrier between the carrier and the membrane, electrically conductive electrodes are arranged in direct contact with the membrane.

Arrangement and method for the electrochemical analysis of liquid samples by means of lateral flow assays

The method includes binding living cells to magnetic particles, adding them to a sensor array, uniformly distributing over the sensor array, magnetically fixing the magnetic particles having the bound cells over the sensor array, and adding substances to maintain and/or improve the cell vitality to the sensory array, and/or adding substances to worsen the cell vitality to the sensor array. A method is disclosed for calibrating a sensor element, which has an immobilized probe oligonucleotide, via which the bonding of a target nucleic acid (Z) can be detected by the sensor. In at least one embodiment, the method includes: a) bringing the sensor element into contact with a control nucleic acid (K), the melting temperature Tm(K) of which is less than the melting temperature Tm(Z) of the target nucleic acid (Z); b) hybridizing the control nucleic acid (K) to the probe oligonucleotide at a temperature T[p]&#x3c;Tm(K), and detecting a positive control signal; and optionally c) modifying the stringent conditions such that T[n]&#x3e;Tm(K) and detecting a negative control signal at a temperature T[n]. According to a refinement of at least one embodiment of the invention, a measuring signal of the target nucleic acid (Z) is measured at a measuring temperature T [mess], where Tm(K)&#x3c;T[mess]&#x3c;Tm(Z). The method is suited in particular for the calibration and quality control of microarrays.

A second carrier includes a porous layer having at least one functional region, in which specifically binding capturing molecules are immobilized. The at least one functional region is arranged directly adjacent to at least one non-functionalized region. Assigned to the at least one functional region and the at least one non-functionalized region are several sensors of the sensor array, for use as the electrochemical camera.

An assembly for nucleic acid sequencing by tunnel current analysis has at least two electrically conductive particles having a diameter from 1 nm to 100 nm and at least two electrically insulating particles having a diameter from 1 nm to 100 nm. The particles are in particular spherically shaped. The assembly also has at least two first electrodes for contacting the electrically conductive particles and a substrate on which the first electrodes and the particles are arranged. The four particles are arranged substantially in a planar square. The conductive particles lie diagonally opposite each other, and the insulating particles lie diagonally opposite each other. The gap between the four particles is used as a solid-state nanopore for nucleic acid sequencing.

Assembly for nucleic acid sequencing by means of tunnel current analysis

An assembly and a method are disclosed for analyzing nucleic acid sequences by way of so-called sequencing-by-synthesis. According to an embodiment of the invention, a chemical substance group that is released when a nucleotide bonds to a nucleic acid sequence to be sequenced is detected. The reagents are applied by way of a spraying device to a sensor that detects the released substance group. This has the advantage that no lateral flow occurs. The rate of false-negative and false-positive results is significantly reduced. Furthermore, a small amount of the reagent is sufficient to completely wet the sensor. Filling of the supply and discharge lines as for a flow cell is not necessary.

Assembly and method for analyzing nucleic acid sequences by way of so-called sequencing-by-synthesis

An apparatus for detecting liquids or substances from liquids in spatially separate reaction zones using a plug-in module or a chip card for rapid immunological tests, for example, with the help of a reading device. The liquids or substances from liquids are detected by a sensor array and on which at least one diaphragm is arranged. Individual sensors are spatially separated from each other on a plane by means of walls. The diaphragm is filled with liquid that is to be analyzed. Sealed reaction chambers are created when pressure is applied to the diaphragm. Pores in the diaphragm are completely closed in the zone of the walls while the pores are merely reduced in size and liquid can continue to be exchanged in zones directly above the sensors. No liquid can be exchanged between adjacent reaction chambers as long as pressure is applied to and compresses the diaphragm.

Apparatus for the detection of liquids or substances from liquids

An array of valves are arranged in n columns and m lines and which are each designed to control a fluid flow in an associated flow channel in a lab-on-a-chip system. The array includes at least two valves, every column having not more than one valve and every line having from zero to n valves. A device is used for actuating the valves. The valves are pressure-actuated. To produce the device, the flow channels are arranged in accordance with the arrangement of the valves. Which valves are actuated being changeable by movement of projections relative to array of valves so as to change which valves the projections are pressed against.

Device for controlling fluid flows in lab-on-a-chip systems

At least two microfluidic devices and at least one sensor chip are formed in a flat body. The at least one sensor chip is in direct contact with at least one first microfluidic device. A second microfluidic device in the manner of a pipette is integral with the flat body or connected thereto. The flat body may be used by docking an E-cup by way of a clamping device of the flat body to the flat body and exchanging fluid between the E-cup and the flat body by way of the second microfluidic device.
