Textured sorbent material sheets provide for enhanced performance in vapor adsorbing applications over conventional sheets, systems, canisters and other emissions control equipment. The textured sorbent material sheets can be formed as part of a small, lightweight system, canister, or can be integrated into a fuel tank.

Sorbents for removal of mercury

Sorbent devices

Sorbent material sheets are wound around a center core of material that includes additional sorbent. This configuration further increases the packaging efficiency and performance of the sorbent material sheets as part of an overall housing or apparatus. In some embodiments, the sorbent material sheets are arranged in a stacked configuration. Configurations of the sorbent material sheets as part of a canister are also described.

A mercury sorbent and method for enhancing mercury removal performance of activated carbon from flue gas by the addition of non-halogen ammonium-containing compounds are provided herein.

Enhanced sorbent formulation for removal of mercury from flue gas

Sorbent materials are described that have enhanced performance in removing chlorine and chloramine, among other toxic compounds. Double layer capacitors

A mercury sorbent and method for enhancing mercury removal performance of activated carbon from flue gas by the addition of non-halogen nitrogen-containing to the flue gas stream are provided herein. Such compositions and methods provide improved mercury adsorption at reduced sorbent injection rates.

The inventive system comprises a housing for receiving a flow of fluid. The invention for the first time uses a modular assembly of UV lamps. The modular assembly comprises at least two UV sources substantially parallel to each other and transverse to said flow. In an embodiment, one of the UV sources is disposed in a plane below all such other lamps and adapted to be run at a power higher than that of all such other lamps. The inventive arrangement is combined with a baffle arrangement wherein the baffles are preferably positioned in such a way to direct the fluid flow into the treatment area.

Fluid treatment device

An apparatus and a method for substantially preventing tarnish from forming on metal objects such as silver, copper or brass objects. It comprises an enclosure for substantially sealing within a metal object and for substantially surrounding the metal object within the enclosure. The invention also provides for the regeneration and reuse of the adsorbent by washing the adsorbent with solvent and subsequently heating to a temperature less than about 350&deg; C. to restore an adsorptive capacity of said adsorbent.
