A vapor relief strainer cleaning assembly comprises a turbine and dislodger assembly, wherein the turbine is configured to move a dislodger assembly disposed within a vapor screen relief vessel. Exemplary dislodger assemblies are configured to be powered by vapor or gas and to use excess vapor or gas optionally to dislodge non-condensable contaminants from the filter screen or to facilitate contaminant dislodgement from the inner wall of the filter screen.

An insert inlet tube assembly for a flash tank including a sidewall and an insert inlet port has been conceived, the insert inlet tube assembly may comprise: a tubular section configured to be inserted into the inlet port and fixed to the inlet port, and an insert outlet of the tubular section, and inserted into an inlet port of the chamber, wherein the insert inlet tube extends inward of the sidewall and the insert outlet has an elongated cross-sectional shape oriented substantially parallel to a center vertical axis of the flash tank and substantially perpendicular to a radial line of the flash tank, such that the insert outlet is substantially tangential to the sidewall.

A flash tank for concentrating fluids including a wall defining a rounded interior chamber bounded by a top elliptical head opposite to a bottom elliptical head; an inlet nozzle of the chamber; a steam chamber operatively engaged to the top elliptical head, wherein the steam chamber includes baffles and a conduit that directs condensate from the steam chamber to the level of liquid condensate; a gas discharge port operatively engaged to the steam chamber; and a liquid discharge port engaged to the bottom elliptical head below a vortex breaker. Changes to the flow passage of the steam chamber have been made by extending the baffles further into the internal chambers of the steam chamber.
