An eyewear frame of improved comfort, including a one-piece non-folding eyewear frame to which a shield is attachable to provide eyewear, the frame being made of plastic having a flexural modulus of from about 250,000 psi to about 310,000 psi (ASTM D790A), with the frame having a brow piece and a pair of symmetric left and right ear pieces extending away from the brow piece at opposite ends of the brow piece, each ear piece terminating at a free end, with the free ends of the brow pieces being spaced apart from one another to define a gap, with the frame having a maximum width such that the ratio of the maximum width to the gap is above 3.

A fall monitor has a first wireless communications receiver and a second wireless communications receiver. The second receiver receives wireless communications according to a different communications protocol than the first receiver. A fall detection pad includes a wireless communications module having a first pad transmitter configured to communicate with the first receiver to transmit a pairing communication when the fall detection pad is placed in proximity to the first receiver and a second pad transmitter configured to communicate with the second receiver when the fall detection pad is paired with the fall monitor display unit to transmit the fall alarm communication when the fall detection pad determines that a patient has removed pressure from the fall detection pad. A clinician key may be provided that is configured to communicate with the first receiver to provide a hold status for the alarm signal of the display unit.

Fall monitor system

A container having a stack of eye shields, includes a stack of eye shields having a plurality of eye shields stacked one on top of another. The stack of eye shields is in a sloped configuration in which ear pieces of frames of the eye shields are generally aligned with one another and disposed at an angle relative to horizontal of from about 10 to about 35 degrees. A container is provided having a horizontal bottom onto which the stack of eye shields is supported, the container having a top opposite the bottom, the top being sloped to be substantially parallel to the ear pieces of the eye shields of the stack of eye shields.
