In a method for producing a conductive coating on an insulating substrate, at least one surface of an electrically insulating substrate is equipped, in selected regions, with a coating of an electrically highly conductive first metal; the coated surface is cleaned; the coating made of the first metal on the substrate is seeded with seeds of a second metal; a layer of the second metal is deposited onto the layer thus seeded; the substrate thus coated is fired.

Method for producing a conductive coating on an insulating substrate

A paste for screen printing of electrical structures on substrates, in particular ceramic substrates, which includes a mixture of inorganic solid particles having high sintering temperature and an inorganic binding agent having a low sintering temperature below the sintering temperature of the inorganic solid particles, wherein the inorganic solid particles having high sintering temperature are at least partially in the form of fibers. The strength and breaking reliability of the printed and then fired electrical structures, such as resistors and coating layers, may be increased by the fiber components in the printing paste.

Paste for screenprinting electric structures onto carrier substrates

A ceramic multilayer circuit and a method for manufacturing a ceramic multilayer circuit which has economical, corrosion-resistant external contacts or external conductor paths that are immune to the Kirkendall effect and can be utilized for different mounting processes. The circuit structure and the method involve the use of a pure silver paste to implement external conductor paths or external contacts. Corrosion resistance is ensured by a thin metallic protective layer.

Method for manufacturing ceramic multilayer circuit

Hydraulic control arrangement for a driven working device particularly mounted on an agricultural vehicle, comprises a hydromotor for driving a working device, a blocking unit having a blocking valve and a pushing piston, a control valve including a control slider which controls the blocking unit and has three control edges, and a control chamber, two working chambers, and two return chambers, a throttle valve having a throttle slider and a spring arranged in a chamber and loading the throttle slider, a working conduit leading from an inlet via the throttle slider, the first control edge of the control slider and the blocking valve to the hydromotor and allowing a load pressure-independent control, a control conduit branching from the working conduit and extending via the third control edge of the control slider, the control chamber and the second return chamber to a tank, and supplied with a control pressure medium in a lowering position of the control slider via the throttle slider, and two throttle points arranged in the control conduit. Wherein the control chamber of the control valve is arranged between the second working chamber and the second return chamber, and the control conduit has a portion between the first working chamber and the control chamber in the region of the slider opening of the control valve through which the second working chamber extends.

Hydraulic control arrangement

A hydraulic control arrangement for height regulation of an agricultural vehicle has a control valve with a control slider provided with a first piston portion with a control edge and a second piston portion with a throttle point. In the positions of neutral and lifting of the control slider the control edge blocks the communication from a control chamber to a working chamber which is connected with a spring chamber of a throttle valve. In the position of lifting the control edge opens and the pressure medium flows via the throttle point from the working chamber in the control chamber. Thereby the pressure in the spring chamber of the throttle valve is lifted. Therefore a lower neutral circulating pressure and a higher pressure level in the position of lifting is possible.

To provide for extremely short valve operating time periods, in the order of up to 10.sup.-5 seconds, for example, a valve element (3, 33, 53, 63, 73, 93) is slidable within a bore (2, 52), movable by a spring (10, 60) or by applied hydraulic pressure (P), and restrained from movement by an electrical positioning element (14, 44, 45, 94) which has a positioning movement transverse to the movement of the valve element, and which clamps the valve element in the bore, or an extending flap or strip (34) against a counter element, which may be another positioning element (45). Preferably, and for fast operation, the positioning element (14) is a stack or column (15) of piezoelectric disks (16) which, when energized, push a stem or bolt element (13) in clamping direction towards the valve stem; alternatively, (FIG. 6), the positioning element (94) can be a solenoid coil pushing the armature (93) thereof into clamping direction towards the valve stem.

Electrically controllable valve

A Diesel engine distributor-type injection pump has a vane pump (3) providing fuel under pressure to an injection pump system formed by two pistons (17) pressed towards each other by a cam track (26) to provide fuel under injection pressure to fuel injection plug connectors (28, 29) when the radial position of a duct (27) in the bore of the rotating shaft (2) matches a connecting duct (28) of a respective injection outlet. To provide for precise timing of fuel being injected, pressurized fuel is drained under control of a slider valve (FIG. 1: 38, 39; FIG. 2: 72, 74) connected through a communicating duct (32, 42, 71) to the slider valve. The slider valve is operated by a piezoelectric positioning element (FIG. 1: 61; FIG. 2: 76) which moves the spool (74, 39) of the slider valve; in one embodiment (FIG. 1), the piezoelectric element operates a piston (53) having a substantially larger diameter than the end faces of the spool (39) to provide for excursion amplification; in another embodiment (FIGS. 2, 4-8), the piezoelectric elements are bending elements and thus provide for larger excursion.

Diesel engine fuel injection system

To provide for extremely rapid operating conditions of the valve in an electrically controlled fuel injection system, that is, valve operation in the order of 10.sup.-5 seconds, for example, a pump (2, 62) provides pressurized fuel, and two, in push-pull operating valves (4, 64; 5, 65) are provided, in which one of the valves (4, 64) controls initiation of fuel injection, and the other one of the valves (5, 65) controls termination thereof; each one of the valves uses a spring-loaded valve element (18, 38', 38, 38'), operated by the pressure of the fuel to be injected, the valve elements being retained in a predetermined position by an electrically controlled operating unit (27, 47'; 47, 47') which has a positioning element operating in a positioning path having at least a component which is perpendicular to the operating direction of the valve element and which, as commanded by the control voltage applied thereto, clamps the valve element in a predetermined position, and thus prevents movement of the valve element even though fluid pressure is applied thereto. Preferably, the electrical control element is a stack of piezoelectric disks which, upon energizaton, expand in axial direction and press a clamping stem (26, 46'; 46, 46') the movable valve element (18, 38', 38, 38') in an operating bore of the valve unit or housing (16, 36).

Electrically controlled valve operating system, particularly for fuel

A piezo-electric control device is used to restrain movement of the armature of an electromagnet until the current through the exciter winding of the electromagnet has reached almost the maximum value. This causes the force applied to the armature to be the maximum force from the start of movement, so that the overall time required for movement of the armature from its starting to its end position is substantially decreased. Specifically, the piezo-electric control device is a column of discs having an axis perpendicular to the axis of movement of the armature. When electrical energy is applied to the column it expands in the axial direction causing a locking member mounted on its end to engage a stop member which is part of the armature. The locking member can either push the stop member against a further rigid stop or two columns can be used to clamp the stop member between them.
