A measurement method for producing an electrical cable wherein an end-side end of a supporting sleeve that is secured to the electrical cable is brought into contact with a reference stop of a reference device. An axial distance between the end-side end of the supporting sleeve and an inner conductor part secured to an inner conductor of the electrical cable and the reference stop is detected, and a connection distance (y) between the front end of the inner conductor part and the end-side end of the supporting sleeve, facing the inner conductor part, is derived from the axial distance.

An outer conductor contact element for a plug connector arrangement, having a fixing stop which engages behind a cable-side end face of a support sleeve and along a longitudinal axis (L) of the plug connector arrangement, and the cable-side end face is remote from a front, free end of the outer conductor contact element, and the fixing stop is formed in the outer conductor contact element by a male connector-side edge of a material cut-out in the outer conductor contact element that is proximate to a front, free end of the outer conductor contact element. Alternatively, or in addition, the fixing stop is formed by a separate stop element that is fastened to an inner wall of the outer conductor contact element. Alternatively, or in addition, the fixing stop is formed by a stamped shaping in the outer conductor contact element.

Outer conductor element, plug connector arrangement and assembly method for a plug connector arrangement

A method for producing a permanent mechanical and electrical connection between a stranded wire and a connecting element, one end of the stranded wire being welded to the connecting element, the end of the stranded wire being introduced into a crimping recess of the connecting element prior to welding, and the connecting element being additionally crimped with the stranded wire. Crimped welded joints produced using this method are taught.

A crimp tool for creating a crimp connection between a coaxial cable having an inner conductor, an outer conductor, and a coaxial connector having an outer conductor part, employing an anvil to hold the outer conductor part, the anvil having a recess with an arcuate face of a first radius of curvature, and anvil arm points at each end of the arcuate face, and employing a die to apply the crimping force, the die having a recess with an arcuate face of a second radius of curvature, wherein said die recess extends over an internal angle of approximately 180&#xb0;, terminating in two parallel arms, where a radial force is applied from outside on the outer conductor part over at least a part of the circumference of the outer conductor part, such that a cold weld is achieved.

A method for the automated processing of an end of a cable, which has an inner part and a sleeve surrounding the inner part, wherein one section of the sleeve is radially widened. The radially widened section of the sleeve is severed by the exertion of an axial cutting force in one region. A device suitable for implementing this method for the radial widening of a section of the sleeve and a cutting device having a first cutting body and a second cutting body, which can be moved toward each other in the axial direction with respect to the cable end and, as a result, sever the radially widened section of the sleeve in one region.

A method and crimping tool for creating a crimp connection between a coaxial cable having an inner conductor, an outer conductor, a dielectric between the outer conductor and inner conductor, a jacket made of an electrically insulating material surrounding the outer conductor, and a coaxial connector having an outer conductor part. A hollow cylindrical supporting sleeve is arranged on the jacket. A section of the outer conductor from which the jacket has been stripped is pulled over the supporting sleeve, so that this section of the outer conductor is at least in part arranged radially on the outside of the supporting sleeve, with the outer conductor part enclosing the supporting sleeve and lying on the outside, wherein a radial force is applied from outside on the outer conductor part over at least a part of the circumference of the outer conductor part, such that a cold weld is achieved.
