An actuator and clutch assembly for a power transmission device includes a first and second clutch members arranged to selectively define a connected state of the clutch when the second clutch member is drivingly engaged with the first clutch member and a disconnected state of the clutch when the second clutch member is not drivingly engaged with the first clutch member. An electric motor drives an input member driven for rotation about an axis, and an output member is driven axially relative to the input member when the input member rotates, wherein the second clutch member moves axially with the output member. A spring provides a force on the output member that biases the output member in a direction in which the second clutch member is moved toward the first clutch member. The spring is radially and axially overlapped by the input member and the output member.

An electric drive can comprise a housing assembly; an electric machine with a hollow shaft; a planetary gearing; and a power distribution unit having an input part and two output parts, the input part being connected to the planet carrier, one of the output parts being connected to an intermediate shaft extending through the hollow shaft; wherein the housing assembly comprises a motor-sided first housing part, a gearing-sided second housing part, and an intermediate housing part disposed therebetween, wherein the intermediate housing part includes, integrally formed, an intermediate wall, a motor-side jacket portion and a gearing-side jacket portion, wherein a sealed cavity for a coolant flowing therethrough is formed between an outer face of the motor-side jacket portion and the inner face of the first gearing part.

A dual clutch unit for variable torque distribution to two output shafts comprises: a clutch input part rotatably drivable about an axis; a first disk pack for transmitting torque from the clutch input part to a first clutch output part, wherein the first disk pack is axially loadable by a first pressure plate and is axially supported against the clutch input part via a first intermediate plate; a second disk pack for transmitting torque from the clutch input part to a second clutch output part, wherein the second disk pack is axially loadable by a second pressure plate and is axially supported against the clutch input part via a second intermediate plate; wherein the first intermediate plate and the second intermediate plate are axially arranged between the first disk pack and the second disk pack and are axially engaged with each other such that they are axially supported independently of each other against the clutch input part.

Dual clutch unit with electric drive

An actuator assembly for being operated in the driveline of a motor vehicle comprises a drive unit for generating an operating force and a ramp unit drivable by the drive unit. The ramp unit comprises an abutment element, a first ring and a second ring. The first ring is drivable by the drive unit so as to rotate around a rotational axis (A) and a plurality of circumferentially distributed axial through-openings. In each of the axial through-openings two rollers are arranged of which respectively a first roller is axially supported against the abutment element and a second roller is axially supported against the second ring The second ring is configured to be held in a stationary component in a rotationally fixed and axially movable way and comprises a plurality of circumferentially distributed ramps which each cooperate with an associated roller. The ramps are configured such that rotatingly driving the rotatingly drivable first ring by the drive unit generates an axial movement of the second ring relative to the first ring. A clutch assembly can have such an actuator assembly.

A plate carrier for a multi-plate clutch comprises: an annular member with a first circumferential face and a second circumferential face; a toothing in the first circumferential face of the annular member, having circumferentially distributed teeth and gaps; at least one groove in the second circumferential face of the annular member, wherein the groove extends over a circumferential portion of the annular member, wherein the groove and the toothing intersect one another, so that radial apertures are formed in the regions of intersection between the groove and the tooth gaps. A multi-plate clutch can be provided with such a plate carrier.
