A target steering angle is detected, where the target steering angle is associated with an implement steering system for tracking a planned implement path. A data processor determines whether or not the implement steering angle is at or near a maximum steering angle toward a lateral upslope of ground. The data processor determines whether the implement is aligned with the planned implement path. A controller or data processor adjusts a target vehicle steering angle of the vehicle to guide the implement toward the lateral upslope in alignment with the planned implement path such that the implement tracks the planned implement path if the implement steering angle is at or near the maximum steering angle.

System and method for steering of an implement on sloped ground

An engine speed sensor determines engine speed data of an internal combustion engine for moving a material distribution vehicle. A ground speed sensor measures a ground speed of the material distribution vehicle. A data processor for controlling a dispensation system to distribute an agricultural input or material at a rate based on the measured ground speed and the engine speed data (e.g., sensed engine speed or change in engine speed) to anticipate a change in the ground speed of the material dispensation vehicle such that a lag in the rate of agricultural input delivered is reduced.

A system and method for steering an implement comprises a steering detector for detecting a target steering angle associated with an implement steering system. An implement mode detector is capable of determining whether or not the implement is acting in a lowered mode of operation in which a ground-engaging component other than one or more wheels engage the ground. An implement steering controller is arranged to adjust the target steering angle by reducing or by limiting the target steering angle to a maximum steering angle if the implement is in the lowered mode.

System and method for variable steering of an implement

An apparatus for controlling the moisture content of sand as it is transported from storage to a mold making apparatus. A conveyor is used to transport a substantially uniform layer of sand at a known rate. The electrical resistance across the sand layer is measured using a series of electrically conductive members that extend into the sand. A thermocouple or other contact device is used to obtain an average temperature of the sand layer. The electrical resistance and average temperature measurements are used in a signal processor to calculate a starting moisture content for the sand. The signal processing unit also calculates an amount of water that should be added to the sand to achieve a computed moisture content value. The signal processing unit further controls the means for adding the water to the sand so that the computed moisture content value is obtained.
