A device and a method implementable therewith for regulating the driving speed of at least one vehicle, having an electric motor/generator connected or connectable to a drive train for at least one wheel as a function of at least its actual speed and setpoint speed. The device includes a control unit for controlling the torque of the electric motor/generator, an arrangement for driving the electric motor/generator, an arrangement for recording the actual speed of the vehicle and an arrangement for preselecting the setpoint speed of the vehicle. In the device, the electric motor/generator is usable in generator operation to generate a braking torque and in engine operation to generate a driving torque.

Device and method for regulating the driving speed of a vehicle

A control unit for controlling an internal combustion engine in a motor vehicle passes through an initialization phase after power-on. To start the internal combustion engine, the internal combustion engine is synchronized with the control unit. To initialize a control unit in a way that enables the internal combustion engine controlled by this control unit to be started particularly quickly, the following steps are carried out irrespective of their order as a function of the detected start request probability: the vehicle is checked and, if necessary, secured to prevent rolling; an interruption in the flow of power between the internal combustion engine and the driven wheels is ensured; the internal combustion engine is set in motion by an electric motor; the control unit is synchronized with the internal combustion engine so that a position of the internal combustion engine is detected by the control unit; the electric motor is deactivated; the control unit is placed in a standby mode and waits for a start request.

Initialization of a control unit

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for controlling a drive unit () including an internal combustion engine (). The method and arrangement function to provide a switchoff of the engine () with less vibration. In the internal combustion engine (), the air or a mixture of air and fuel is compressed in a combustion chamber () while utilizing a compressing device () and especially a piston. A supply of fuel is reduced with a switchoff of the engine (). When switching off the engine (), a relief of load of the compressing device () is initiated in addition to the reduction of the metering of fuel.

Method and arrangement for controlling a drive unit including an internal combustion engine

In a method for controlling a drive unit, a driver command value is formed while considering the current transmission ratio and the drive unit is controlled in dependence upon the driver command value. In addition, a predicted driver command value is determined in dependence upon transmission ratios other than the current transmission ratio. In addition, the minimum and maximum possible values are considered in the formation of the driver command value. A correction of the driver command value is undertaken in dependence upon the difference between minimum possible torque and minimum requested torque or between maximum possible torque and maximum requested torque.
