The invention pertains to an exposure apparatus, a method for exposing a photosensitive element to radiation using the exposure apparatus, and a method for preparing a printing form from the photosensitive element. The exposure apparatus includes a base assembly having an exposure bed that supports the photosensitive element, and a lamp housing assembly having two or more lamps. The lamp housing assembly includes an air distribution assembly having an air chamber that is disposed adjacent to the lamps and pressurized to provide uniform distribution of air exiting the air chamber to impinge a backside of each of the lamps. The air exiting the chamber and impinging the lamps is controlled by monitoring the temperature of the lamps and/or the irradiance emitting from the lamps.

Exposure apparatus and a method for exposing a photosensitive element and a method for preparing a printing form from the photosensitive element

The invention pertains to a method and apparatus for exposing a cylindrical print sleeve. The method and apparatus can accommodate exposing various cylindrical print sleeves having different sleeve lengths and/or diameters. The apparatus includes a sleeve support for supporting the cylindrical print sleeve at one end, a plurality of light tubes supported in a longitudinal orientation, and a means for positioning the light tubes along one of a plurality of concentric rails to form a substantially circular wall of light tubes about the print sleeve.

Apparatus and process for exposing a printing form having a cylindrical support

An ink receptor sheet for ink jet printing, an ink jet printing system including an ink receptor sheet and a transfer element, a process for preparing an image on permanent support by ink jet printing, and an imaged article made by such process. By incorporation of a photopolymerizable layer into an ink receptor sheet, the handling latitude during lamination and peeling steps of ink jet printing processes was enhanced and durable and resistant images made by such ink jet printing processes were provided.
