A connection for two items of installation equipment lined up beside each other with their end or broad sides against each other, in particular line-protection circuit breakers, residual current circuit breakers and the like, whose housings are each formed from two shell-shaped housing parts. The connecting element has an approximately cylindrical base body with a first outer diameter onto which, on both sides, two radially springy spreading arms projecting axially in opposite directions are integrally molded. The outside diameter of the spreading arms is smaller than the outside diameter of the base body and free ends of the spreading arms have radially protruding lugs which, when assembled, latch in behind protrusions on the housings of the items of installation equipment located beside each other and to be connected by the connecting element.

A magnetic tripping device for an electrical wiring device includes a U-shaped magnetic yoke, a cylindrical non-magnetic coil form having two end surfaces and a periphery and being disposed in the magnetic yoke, a magnetic core disposed in the coil form, a magnetic armature movably disposed in the coil form, and a compression spring disposed in the coil form between the magnetic core and the magnetic armature, the coil form having at least two radial embossings uniformly distributed over the periphery in the vicinity of the end surfaces for fixing the magnetic core in place in the coil form and for guiding the magnetic armature in the coil form with a limited stroke and a sliding fit.

An electric wiring switch having an electromagnetic open-circuit shunt tripping device with a magnet armature that, when the tripping device is tripped, acts upon a latching shaft to release a latch upon the ocurrence of a fault current in an electrical circuit wherein the switch is connectible, and also having an indicating device lastingly indicating the tripping of the open circuit shunt tripping device, an operating button displaceable between a first position thereof wherein the switch is in an 'on' condition and the operating button is spring loaded, and a second position thereof wherein the switch is in an 'off' condition and the operating button is released from the spring loading, the operating button being formed with projection means extending therefrom which, in the 'on' condition of the switch, are engaged behind corresponding extension means extending from the latching shaft for firmly retaining the operating button in the first position thereof, and which, in the 'off' condition of the switch, after the operating button is in the second position thereof, are engaged with the extension means of firmly retaining the latching shaft in a released position thereof which is assumed thereby when the tripping device is tripped.
