The invention relates to a system for the data transmission of digital transmission data () between a first digital protective device () and a second digital protective device () on a section (A) of an energy supply line () in a transmission direction () and in a reception direction (). The first digital protective device () is connected to an end () of an electrical data transmission line () via a first coupling device (). The second digital protective device () is connected to the other end () of the electrical data transmission line () via a second coupling device (). In order to establish data transmission with little complication, the data transmission line () is one-paired, and both coupling devices () are adapted to enable transmission of digital transmission data in the transmission and reception direction (or) on the one-paired data transmission line () in the manner of a digital telecommunication transmission. The invention further relates to a method for transmitting data.

The invention relates to a method for automatically re-closing when there is a short-circuit in a line section of an electric energy supply line, whereby said section is defined by one switch respectively which comprises an allocated short-circuit detection device. According to the inventive method and after the switches have been released by a short-circuit, a re-closing instruction that is produced on the one end of the line section trips the switch on the other end. The aim of the invention is to carry out said method in such a way that the switch is treated with care as far as possible. The switch on the other end of the line section is tripped after a predetermined time delay provided that the short-circuit in the line section terminates during the time delay.

The invention relates to a method for producing at least one signal (oscillation signal), which indicates an oscillation in an electrical power supply system. In order to allow the oscillation behavior of an electrical power system to be detected safely and reliably at all times, an oscillation model is used which is formed from previous impedance values associated with the oscillation, or from variables dependent on these impedance values. A check is carried out to determine whether a further impedance value formed at that time or a variable which is dependent on this further impedance value differs from the oscillation model, and any occurrence of a further impedance value or of a variable dependent on this impedance value which differs from the oscillation model is assessed as the oscillation having stopped.
