The invention relates to a pipetting apparatus for pipetting laboratory samples into a pipetting container which can be connected to the pipetting apparatus, which pipetting container is in particular designed according to the invention, comprising a container side and a first connection section, by means of which the pipetting container can be connected to the pipetting apparatus, and comprising an information carrying device with at least one information section, which carries information, on this container side; the pipetting apparatus comprising an electric information reading device, by means of which information contained on the information reading device can be read when the pipetting container is connected to the pipetting apparatus, and which comprises at least one electric sensor device, which comprises at least one sensor section, opposite to which a measuring space is formed, wherein the sensor device is configured to read the information content of at least one information section when the latter is arranged in the measuring space. The invention furthermore relates to the pipetting container or adapter element, which can be used with the pipetting apparatus, and a method for the production thereof.

The invention relates to a method for quantitative determination of test results from diagnosis methods with the aid of an optoelectronic evaluation appliance, and to the evaluation appliance itself, characterized in that the digital pixel information per color level or grey level is represented in its intensity in the microprocessor as one column per pixel, wherein the column height corresponds to the intensity, and these columns are displayed alongside one another on one plane, such that the intensity distribution is displayed over the test area as a surface contour or surface profile, the height profile of which corresponds to the intensity profile of the color intensity received by the CCD. Fields of application for the invention are test methods in biochemical laboratories, such as medical diagnosis, forensic medicine, foodstuff diagnosis, molecular biology, biochemistry, gene technology and all other related fields, as well as patient monitoring for home users or in pharmacies.

Appliance and method for evaluation and assessment of a test strip

The invention relates to an optoelectronic transmission and/or reception arrangement. The arrangement includes a transmission and/or reception module containing an optoelectronic transmission and/or reception component, and a plug interface for the coupling of an optical fiber thereto. An optical waveguide section is arranged in the plug interface, and at one of its ends is optically coupled to the transmission and/or reception component. At its other end, the optical waveguide section is configured to be coupled to an optical fiber. The arrangement may further include a lens for optical coupling of the light between the optical waveguide section and the transmission and/or reception component. The lens and the optical waveguide section, in one example, are formed as a prefabricated subassembly, in which the lens is fixedly arranged at a defined distance from one end face of the optical waveguide section.

An arrangement including an optoelectronic component having terminal contacts, an electrical component having first electrical contacts and second electrical contacts, a printed circuit board, to which the second electrical contacts of the electrical component are connected, and a flexible conductor arrangement of a planar form having several conductor tracks. The conductor arrangement provides an electrical connection between the terminal contacts of the optoelectronic component and the first electrical contacts of the electrical component. The conductor arrangement has a first region with first contact regions and a second region with second contact regions. Arrangement for the electrical connection of an optoelectronic component to an electrical component

A coupling configuration enables the coupling of an optical plug with a plug pin to a mounting tubelet wherein at least one optical conductor is arranged in at least one ferrule. The coupling configuration is formed with sleeve having a first and a second coupling region, and a further mounting tubelet. The first coupling region holds the mounting tubelet, and the second coupling region holds the further mounting tubelet. The further mounting tubelet is plugged at one of its ends onto a ferrule end, projecting from the first mounting tubelet, and is centered with respect to that end. The other end of the second mounting tubelet serves for holding the plug pin of an optical plug. The invention permits mechanical decoupling of the operation of plugging and coupling a plug pin from the operation of adjusting and positioning the light-guiding structures contained in the waveguide tubelet.

A housing for a coupling configuration for injecting or extracting optical signals of at least one optical data channel into or from an optical conductor has a housing body. At least one groove is constructed in the housing body, in particular a V-shaped groove, which serves to hold at least one mounting tubelet. At least one recess is formed in the housing body that at least partially includes the base of the groove such that light exiting or entering the mounting tubelet laid in the groove can transilluminate the base of the groove.

Housing for a coupling configuration for injecting and/or extracting optical signals

The invention relates to an electro-optical module for transmitting and/or receiving optical signals on at least two optical data channels which are carried in an optical waveguide. The optical waveguide in the module forms at least two optical waveguide sections, with each section having at least one inclined end surface. The inclined end surfaces of the optical waveguide sections are positioned axially one behind the other. Light is injected into or light is output from the optical waveguide for a specific optical data channel by light for the optical data channel being passed to an inclined end surface, or emerging from it, at an angle to the optical axis of the optical waveguide.

Electro-optical module for transmitting and/or receiving optical signals on at least two optical data channels

To ensure laser safety, also in the case of a largest possible coupled optical power, during the direct optical coupling of a light-emitted component to an optical waveguide, an optical system includes coupling the light through a fiber end configured as a multimode step index optical waveguide having a numeric aperture larger than the half-width value of the angular distribution of the radiation emitted from the radiation source. To distribute the radiation fed into the actual optical waveguide over the largest possible angular range with regard to the luminous power, the coupling of the light beam into the fiber end is effected such that the coupled light beams are inclined in relation to the geometric axis of the optical core of the fiber end at a defined angle.

Optical coupling system

The optic coupling system links a fiber-optics waveguide with two optoelectronic components. The components are disposed on a substrate with an interposed beam-splitting layer. The light incidence or light emission surface of the first optoelectronic element is disposed perpendicular to the substrate. The coupling system is either a bi-directional transmitter and receiver module or a mono-directional transmitter or receiver module. To this end, the light incidence or light emersion surface of the second optoelectronic element is disposed in parallel to the substrate and the beam-splitting layer is disposed on a surface that is arranged above the second optoelectronic element at an angle of approximately 45&deg; with respect to the substrate.

Optical coupling configuration

The module for optical signal transmission has a transmitting or receiving component mounted on a carrier. At least one optical waveguide, whose two ends represent an optical input and an optical output of the module, is associated with the transmitting or receiving component. A wavelength-selective element is arranged or formed in the optical waveguide and injects into the optical waveguide or outputs from it light, which is emitted from or received by the transmitting or receiving element, for a specific optical data channel. The light is injected into or output from the optical waveguide essentially at right angles to the optical axis of the optical waveguide.

Multichannel optical transmitter

A coupling configuration is described which contains optoelectronic elements having optically active zones, a coupling element, and optical waveguide sections for coupling to each of the optoelectronic elements. The optical waveguide sections is disposed in the coupling element, the optical waveguide sections are disposed in at least two planes including a first plane and a second plane. The optical waveguide sections of different ones of the two planes are offset in relation to one another. Optical coupling paths run between the optical waveguide sections and the optically active zones. At least some of the optical coupling paths allocated to the optical waveguide sections of the first plane pass through intermediate spaces that exist between the optical waveguide sections of the second plane.

Configuration for coupling optoelectronic elements and fiber arrays

A transmission device contains a plurality of laser transmitters that can be driven individually with a driving current and output optical signals and whose operating point is set via a respective bias current. Each bias current has an individual correction current impressed on it. The correction currents are dimensioned such that, for the same bias current, the laser transmitters have an identical or essentially more uniform average optical output power at the desired operating point.

Optical transmission device

A module contains a plurality of optical transducers with optically active zones. The transducers are assigned an integrated circuit. A coupling assembly contains a plurality of optical channels running between an inner optical interface with the optically active zones and an outer interface. The transducers, the circuit and the coupling assembly are disposed together on a lead frame having connections for external contact-making.
