The invention relates to a container () having a cover () which is connected to the container () by at least two hinge arrangements () so that it can be opened and closed about a pivot axis (a) relative to the container (). The invention relates to a device for unlocking swing-action side walls (to) which are hinged on the base () of boxes and/or containers (), of which the two opposite end walls () can be locked to the two adjacent side walls () and unlocking takes place by virtue of a lifting movement of a bracket-like actuator (), which interacts with a movement-deflecting means (), and wherein unlocking crosspieces () act on spring-tongue-like locking means () of the side walls (), these locking means being latched into the end walls (), and force them out of their latching seat, in which they clamp the end walls (). According to the invention, the actuator () is arranged in a sliding wall element () which can be displaced vertically parallel to the end wall () in an upwardly open wall cutout of the end wall (), in lateral guides () of the wall cutout, these guides continuing the end wall (), into a position in which it closes the wall cutout or releases the same, and wherein, during displacement movements of the sliding wall element (), the movement-deflecting means (), which interact with the ends of the actuator (), remain in their installation position in the end wall () laterally adjacent to the wall cutout.

Device for unlocking swing-action side walls of boxes and/or containers

The invention relates to a device for unlocking foldable side walls (to) hinged on the floor () of boxes and containers (), the two opposite end walls () thereof being lockable to the adjacent side walls () and the unlocking taking place by a lifting motion of a yoke-like adjusting member () disposed under spring pretension and guided in recesses of stiffening ribs () in the outer surfaces of the end walls (). The adjusting member () is designed having motion-diverting means () on the two outside ends thereof, said means diverting vertical motion into a horizontal motion unlocking the side walls when the adjusting member () is raised, wherein the unlocking bars () of the adjusting member act on spring tab-like locking means () of the side walls () engaged in the end walls () and press them out of engaged seating thereof surrounding the end walls ().
