A heat exchanger may include a heat exchanger block including a plurality of flat tubes held at a longitudinal end side in a respective rim hole of an associated tube plate. The respective rim hole may have at least two mutually opposite and substantially straight long sides and at least two mutually opposite narrow sides. A brazed connection may be disposed between at least one of the at least two long sides of at least one of the respective rim holes and a corresponding one of the flat tubes arranged therein, and the brazed connection may have an undulating brazing boundary. At least one of the plurality of flat tubes may include at least one partition. The undulating brazing boundary may have a high point that defines an increased thickness in relation to a plane running through two opposite groove bases disposed in the tube plate.

Heat exchanger

A heat exchanger of a type with a collector plate which has a wall in which are formed rim holes which can receive the ends of tubes of a bundle, wherein the wall of the collector plate is designed such that, for the purpose of a soldered or welded connection to the tubes, it forms collars around the rim holes, and wherein the wall has a front side facing toward the tube bundle and a rear side facing toward the collecting tank. Each collar extends in the direction of the collecting tank from a straight base plane on the rear side of the wall.

The invention relates to a fluid channel for a heat exchanger, comprising a metal sheet, wherein the metal sheet has at least one core region of an aluminum base alloy and at least one structure arranged inside the fluid channel, wherein the structure lies against a surface of the metal sheet and can be soldered to the metal sheet in a flux-free manner by way of a first soldering location in a soldering operation, and wherein a soldering region of the metal sheet and a counterpart lie against one another and can be soldered to one another in the same soldering operation as a second soldering location while wetting with flux, wherein an open path between the two soldering locations exists before the soldering operation.

Solderable fluid channel for a heat exchanger of aluminum

A motor vehicle may include a radiator arrangement. The radiator arrangement may include a radiator grill having a cooling air inlet and a radiator arranged behind the cooling air inlet with respect to a forward traveling direction. A flow-directing device may be arranged to direct a cooling air flow from the cooling air inlet to the radiator. The flow-directing device may include at least one baffle element disposed on a radiator-grill side of the radiator arrangement and at least one other baffle element disposed on a radiator side. Additionally or alternatively, the flow-directing device may include a bellows arranged on the radiator-grill side or on the radiator side. Additionally or alternatively, the flow-directing device may include at least one rail including a groove and at least one rail baffle element guided in the at least one guide groove.

Motor vehicle having a radiator arrangement

The invention relates to a heat exchanger module () for a motor vehicle, comprising at least one heat exchanger (), preferably a coolant cooler, and laterally arranged plastic module supports () which retain the heat exchanger module () and support the same on the vehicle. According to the invention, the heat exchanger () is provided with two receptacles () having two longitudinal faces, one lateral face, and two front faces () while the module supports are embodied as slip-on boxes () which have the shape of the receptacles (), embrace the longitudinal, lateral, and front faces (-,) thereof in a positive manner, and are secured to the front faces () by means of locking hooks and/or snap-in hooks.

Heat exchanger module for a motor vehicle

A folded multi-passageway flat tube is disclosed, which is made from a flat sheet metal strip and has folded webs and a longitudinal seam. Through-openings for improving the heat transfer and for generating transverse flow are provided in the folded webs. The through-openings are advantageously made by punching in the flat sheet metal strip, that is to say before folding, and are made congruent after folding. These folded multi-passageway flat tubes are preferably used for refrigerant condensers in motor vehicle air-conditioning systems.

A multi-chamber tube for a heat exchanger arrangement of a motor vehicle has at least two chamber sections which extend parallel to each other and side-by-side. Different liquid or gaseous heat transfer media are used in the chamber sections which have widths significantly greater than their heights. At least one chamber section has a greater height than at least one other chamber section. The multi-chamber tube is used in a coolant radiator and charge air cooler combination.

A heat exchanger, produced by the insertion of welded pipes into a rib pack, has a good connection between the rib pack and the pipes after expansion of the pipes. An optimal contact of the pipes against the passages in the cooling fins of the rib pack is achieved because the weld base of the welded pipe lies in a recess. The recess is formed by reduction of the wall thickness of a strip material from which the welded pipe is produced.
