A method for controlling at least one missile radar sensor moving along a trajectory with a missile. The missile radar sensor is set up to recognize a target object. The operating parameters for modulation of the missile radar sensor are adaptively adjusted during the movement along the trajectory depending on target object data on the target object.

Control method for a missile radar sensor of a missile, missile control unit and missile

A missile, in particular a guided missile, has a missile body and a radar sensor unit for acquiring a target object. The radar sensor unit contains at least one radar antenna, strip-shaped in the longitudinal direction, that is mounted or integrated on a circumferential surface of the missile body such that the longitudinal direction of the at least one strip-shaped radar antenna is aligned in the direction of the missile longitudinal axis.

Missile, in particular guided missile, having a radar sensor unit

A missile controller guides a missile along a flight path to a stationary or moving target object. The missile controller has at least one side-looking sensor, configured to record surroundings data and has a field of view aligned transverse to the longitudinal axis of the missile, and a control unit having a reception unit for receiving target object data regarding the target object. The target object data containing position data, orientation data and/or speed data of the target object. The control unit is configured to set the orientation of the missile during the guidance at least partly based on the received target object data such that the target object is located in the field of view of the side-looking sensor at least in sections of a final guidance phase.

Method for guiding a missile, missile controller and missile

An object self-protection apparatus () having a monitoring device () which is fixed with respect to the object and a launch container (), in particular for fragmentation projectiles, which has a target-tracking radar device () for the approach movement of a missile () which is to be defended against. The monitoring device () which is fixed with respect to the object and the target-tracking radar device () are connected together with an aiming drive for the launch container (). Hereby, an expensive search radar is replaced by a passive sensor device () forming the monitoring device () which is fixed with respect to the object. The passive sensor device () generates accurately measured angular information in respect of the approaching missile (). The distance and the speed of the missile () are then determined by the target-tracking radar device ().

Self-protecting device for an object

A projectile () carries a combination antenna (), whose tuning corresponds to both the fundamental frequency of the radar () of a proximity fuse and the third harmonic of the carrier frequency of a satellite navigation receiver (), in its replaceable tip () under its ballistic radome hood (), so that both systems may be operated via this one combination antenna (). For the decoupling, the radar range finder () is only put into operation when the navigation receiver () has been switched off because the projectile () has arrived over the target area on its corrected flight path.

Projectile comprising a reception antenna for a satellite navigation receiver

A slot antenna for the fuse of artillery ammunition, is provided through a sandwich structure in which an axially divided resonator ring chamber axially enclosed between upper and lower metallic cover discs profiled to be stable in respect of shape, is provided with a dielectric ring disc which extends with a peripherally extending color radially opposite a central cylindrical reflector wall through an axial slot between the two hollow-cylindrical outside walls of the ring chamber to the outer surface of the fuse casing which is also peripherally slit. In one of the two cover discs the inner edge of the antenna slot which opens into the ring space is defined by a hoop which is inserted into the front side of the outer wall and on which connecting locations which are displaced relative to each other in the peripheral direction are contacted through the dielectric ring disc and the axially oppositely disposed cover disc to a circuit carrier disc, where they are brought together in single-phase manner through a matching network to an antenna line, the second phase of which is connected to the cover disc adjacent thereto.

A munition article is to be provided with an antenna which, by virtue of a characteristic which is uniform all around, permits interference-free reception of items of satellite navigation information, even if in the manner of an artillery projectile it is fired with spin along an elongate ballistic trajectory, so that a tail antenna with a spherical characteristic does not allow the expectation of good reception factors in relation to navigation satellites which are as high as possible above the horizon. Therefore the tip ( ) of the fuse tip ( ) of the projectile is equipped with a dipole satellite antenna which faces in the direction of flight. Connected to the dipole ( ) which is arranged concentrically with respect to the longitudinal axis ( ) of the projectile are symmetrically disposed conductor portions ( ) which rest with a close fit in recesses ( ) in the ballistic cap ( ).

A pseudo-noise-modulated spread spectrum is irradiated undirectedly--or, encoded by different modulation, into mutually displaced spatial sectors--and the energy (20) received after reflection at a potential target (13) is cross-correlated, using the pseudo-noise code which is predetermined at the transmission end, in order to provide a spherical monitoring effect which is continuous but which cannot be located in respect of its origin, to provide a warning in particular for marine craft, land vehicles and aircraft against an attacking guided missile as the target (13) to be repelled, and in order to be able to transfer to a target tracker (12) distance and speed information obtained from the correlation product, with the alarm signal, if the alarm sensor (11) is not itself also used as the tracking sensor.
