A fuel injector for the injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine includes a valve needle guided in a nozzle body, the valve needle being actuable by an actuator and acted upon by a restoring spring in such a manner that a valve-closure member which is in operative connection to the valve needle is retained in sealing contact against a valve-seat surface. Formed at a downstream-side end of the fuel injector is a projection which projects beyond the valve-closure member of the fuel injector.

Fuel injection valve

A fuel injector for fuel-injection systems of internal combustion engines includes a solenoid coil, a valve needle that is in operative connection with the solenoid coil and acted upon by a restoring spring in a closing direction in order to actuate a valve-closure member which forms a sealing seat together with a valve-seat surface formed at a valve-seat member, and at least two spray-discharge orifices, which are formed in the valve-seat member. In a discharge region, the spray-discharge orifices are in connection with capillaries formed in the end face of the valve-seat member.

A fuel injector, in particular for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, having a valve-closure member which cooperates with a valve-seat surface formed on a valve-seat body, to form a sealing seat, includes at least one spray-discharge orifice provided downstream from the sealing seat. The spray-discharge orifice has a guide region and an exit region arranged at its discharge-side end. The exit region widens in a stepped manner by at least one first step and/or at least in part continuously beginning with a transition from the guide region into the exit region. A fuel jet which emerges from the guide region at the transition and widens essentially uniformly at a jet angle, passes a discharge-side end of the exit region with a gap dimension of a gap after a distance s, the gap dimension being greater than zero and a first volume remaining in the exit region between the fuel jet and the inner walls of the exit region.

Fuel injector

A fuel injector for the direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine includes a valve needle situated in a nozzle body, the valve needle being actuable by an actuator and acted upon by a restoring spring in such a manner that a valve-closure member which is in operative connection to the valve needle and faces the combustion chamber is kept in sealing contact with a valve-seat surface in the non-actuated state of the actuator. A first jet-opening angle &#x3b1;is assigned to a first lift state of the valve needle and a second jet-opening angle &#x3b1;to a second lift state of the valve needle.

This invention achieves a setting of a reduced flow area which is active after a closed position of the valve. The solenoid valve has a seat valve with a closing element which is surrounded with a clearance by a hollow cylindrical shoulder. Formed in a valve body provided with the valve seat of the seat valve is an annular channel into which the shoulder engages with a slight radial gap in the closed position of the valve. On the outlet side of the seat valve, the pressure fluid channel leads to the two end faces of a magnet armature which actuates the seat valve. Given a pressure gradient between the pressure fluid inlet and the pressure fluid outlet, after a closed position of the solenoid valve the seat valve is capable of assuming a partly open position, since valve opening forces are compensated by pressure disequilibrium at the magnet armature. The valve can be used in slip-controlled hydraulic brake systems of motor vehicles.

An electromagnetically actuatable injection valve, including a nozzle with a shaped end face in combination with a perforated plate through which the fuel flows. The nozzle injection valve has an injection chamber which is defined by a downstream terminal face of the valve closing element and by the perforated plate which is spaced from the nozzle and provided with injection ports. The geometrical embodiment of the injection chamber influences the fuel flow in such a way that a pulse flow vector of the flow penetrates an imaginary jacket face at right angles, so that the injection ports are acted upon substantially by pressure energy. The novel injection valve is especially suitable for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.

Electromagnetically actuated injection valve

An injection valve for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines which is used for injection of fuel into the intake tube. The injection valve includes a valve housing in which a core that cooperates with an armature is located. Connected to the valve housing is a nozzle body in which a conical valve seat face is formed, with which a sealing section of a valve needle actuated by the armature cooperates. The valve needle is guided by guide sections in a guide bore of the nozzle body, and upstream of the sealing section, the valve needle has a cylindrical section which protrudes through a central opening of an insert body. The insert body rests with a jacket sealing face on the valve seat face and has flow openings that lead from upstream to downstream of the insert body and are aimed at the valve seat face.

Injection valve for fuel injection systems

The invention relates to an injection valve for internal combustion engine fuel injection systems. The valve is designed to inject fuel into the intake manifold. The valve comprises a valve housing containing a core, with which an armature cooperates. A nozzle body with a valve seat is connected to the valve housing. A sealing seat of a valve needle guided in the nozzle body cooperates with the valve seat. The valve needle is guided by first and second guide parts in a guide bore of the nozzle body and the second guide part, which is adjacent to the sealing seat in the upstream direction, is provided with metering bores. These metering bores are inclined such that they produce a spinning effect when the valve is open, thereby providing for good preparation of the fuel. According to the invention, each metering bore discharges immediately proximate to and directly upstream of, the sealing seat.

Injection valve

The invention relates to an injection valve for internal combustion engine fuel injection systems. The valve is designed to inject fuel into the intake manifold. The valve comprises a valve housing containing a core with which an armature cooperates. A nozzle body with a valve seat is connected to the valve housing. A sealing seat of a valve needle guided in the nozzle head cooperates with the valve seat. The valve needle includes a central blind bore. Metering openings designed to meter fuel quantities extend from the downstream end of this blind bore. At their opposite ends these metering openings discharge directly upstream of the sealing seat.

The injection pump has a pump piston driven with a constant stroke which pumps fuel at injection pressure to an injection nozzle so long as an electrically actuated overflow valve blocks the flow of the fuel overflowing via an overflow conduit to a low-pressure chamber. The overflow valve is a needle valve, the valve needle of which, opening inward toward a pressure chamber that can be placed under injection pressure, by means of a conical closing surface radially defining a needle tip controls a valve seat that widens conically toward the pressure chamber. The cone angle of the closing surface is larger than the cone angle of the associated valve seat and the closing surface forms a sealing edge, the diameter of which is equal to or only slightly smaller than the guide diameter of the guide shank on the valve member. In a preferred embodiment, the needle tip of the valve member has an external contour on its end, adjacent to the closing surface, which directs the fuel flow and reinforces the opening movement. The injection pump is particularly suitable for high-pressure injection in Diesel engines, in order to attain an exact electrical control of the supply onset and supply quantity, if a reservoir chamber defined by a deflecting piston is connected to a high-pressure chamber that includes the pump work chamber.
