A power-assisted hydraulic braking system includes a main brake line into which a setpoint brake pressure can be introduced via a brake valve actuated by a brake pedal, and from which a plurality of wheel brake lines branch off, each leading to an actuating unit of a wheel brake, and a valve arrangement of an ABS controller, comprising an inlet valve disposed between the main brake line and one of the wheel brake lines and an outlet valve disposed between the relevant wheel brake line and a pressureless return line. The inlet valve and the outlet valve are embodied as pressure-controlled 2/2-way switching valves with suitably sized switching cross-sections. At least one pilot control valve is associated with each of the inlet valve and the outlet valve, via which a control connection can be alternately subjected to a low or high control pressure to change over.

Hydraulic braking system

An external force-supported hydraulic braking system of a wheeled vehicle includes two brake circuits each having a main brake line configured to be connected to a pressure-carrying supply line or to a pressureless return line via a brake valve and further having a number of wheel brake lines branching from the main brake line and including a valve assembly of a TCS system. The valve assembly of the TCS system has a single TCS control valve formed as a 6/2-way magnetic switching valve configured to, in a non-actuated state, block a pressure-carrying main pressure line against two bypass lines each leading directly to a respective main brake line, and connect the two return lines to a pressureless collective line, and further configured to, in the actuated state, connect the main pressure line to the two bypass lines and block the two return lines against the collective line.

A vehicle braking unit comprises an operating braking pressure inlet which receives an inlet braking pressure built up by a braking cylinder, and at least one operating brake pressure outlet at which an outlet braking pressure is provided for an operating brake modulator, which is upstream of the operating brake and provides anti-lock functionality. At least one connecting channel hydraulically connects the operating brake pressure inlet to the outlet. Brake fluid is supplied from a storage unit through the brake cylinder, the connecting channel and the operating brake modulator. The braking unit has a brake fluid inlet, through which the brake fluid is received from the storage unit, a brake fluid pump, by which the brake fluid is suctioned through the brake fluid inlet and a supply pressure is built up, and a valve unit that controls the outlet braking pressure and/or a parking brake release pressure by the supply pressure.

Vehicle braking unit and method

A braking device for a vehicle comprises a main brake cylinder, which provides, in response to the actuation thereof, an operating brake pressure in at least one operating brake circuit for the actuation of an operating brake. A hydraulic fluid pressure intake is connected to a hydraulic circuit, which contains a hydraulic fluid having a built-up hydraulic circuit pressure. Through the hydraulic fluid pressure intake, the hydraulic fluid is provided at the hydraulic circuit pressure. The braking device further comprises a valve device, which actively controls a main brake cylinder actuation pressure and/or a parking brake release pressure by means of the hydraulic fluid that is provided. The main brake cylinder is actuated by means of the main brake cylinder actuation pressure for an active brake engagement. Alternatively or additionally, a parking brake is hydraulically released by means of the parking brake release pressure.

Hydraulic brake system braking method and braking device

A pump device and method minimizes the quantity of air in a vehicle brake system by reducing the volume of detrimental space. The device includes a piston movable between first and second end points, a line system that conducts fluid through the device, and a closing element, movable between an open position releasing the flow of the fluid and a closed position interrupting the fluid flow, that selectively releases the flow of the fluid through the device. The line system includes a through-line formed in the piston for conducting the fluid through the piston. By virtue of a section of the through-line that receives the closing element in the piston, a force is generated that is transmittable from the fluid to the closing element that moves the closing element in the direction of its closed position when the piston is moving in the direction of the first end point.
