According to the invention, a method for parallel condensation and evaporation is provided for a fuel cell system with a condensation/evaporation device. In this case, the condensation-evaporation device (KVV) has a condensation chamber and an evaporation chamber, which are thermally coupled to one another via a heat exchanger so that water vapor contained in the condensation chamber in exhaust gas of a fuel cell stack is condensed into water and in the evaporation chamber a liquid fuel of a two-phase mixture comprising the liquid fuel and a gas phase, are at least partially vaporized to fuel vapor. In this case, the energy required for evaporation is at least partially provided by waste heat from an exhaust gas of a fuel cell stack of a fuel cell and the associated energy withdrawal from the exhaust gas of a fuel cell stack is used for condensation. The present invention is characterized in that the gas phase comprises a carrier gas which is CO.

Method and device for parallel condensation and evaporation for fuel cell system

The present invention relates to a humidification unit for providing a carrier gas containing a fuel for supplying a fuel cell. This comprises a humidification chamber, which is designed for the storage of a liquid containing fuel, an inlet leading into the humidification chamber feed a liquid containing fuel, a further inlet leading into the humidification chamber to feed a carrier gas, in such a way that the carrier gas in the humidification chamber is in contact with the liquid, an outlet for the release of the carrier gas containing gaseous fuel, wherein a control unit is provided to keep the liquid containing fuel in the humidification chamber at a temperature below its boiling point.

The invention relates to a fluid separating device with a lower section with a fluid feeding device and a liquid discharging device, an upper section with a fluid feeding device and a gas discharging device, a contact device which is constructed in such a manner that gas, which rises from the lower section into the upper section, comes into contact with liquid which sinks from the upper section into the lower section. Thereby, the rising gases can be depleted of components which are soluble in said liquid. Furthermore, a measuring device for determining the quantity of liquid and/or the alterations thereof is provided.
