A blade row group arrangeable in a main flow path of a fluid-flow machine and including N adjacent member blade rows firmly arranged relative to one another in both the axial direction and the circumferential direction is provided. Here, a front member blade row with front blades as well as a rear member blade row with rear blades are provided in the meridional plane established by the axial direction and the radial direction. The blade row group has two main flow path boundaries. It is provided that the blades of the member blade rows are fixed to the one main flow path boundary in the surrounding structure by means of a blade root structure, and that the blades of the member blade rows on the other main flow path boundary are each firmly connected to a base.

Group of blade rows

A fluid flow machine, includes a main flow path formed by a hub and a housing, an arrangement of rotating blades in the main flow path to supply energy to the fluid, forming a rotor assembly group, an arrangement of resting blades arranged adjacent to the rotor in the main flow path, forming a stator assembly group, wherein respectively one rotor assembly group and one stator assembly group adjacent thereto form a stage of the fluid flow machine. In at least one stage, the averaged blade profile angles &#x3b2;, &#x3b2;of the rotor assembly group, the averaged blade profile angles &#x3b2;, &#x3b2;of the stator assembly group, as well as the course of the cross-sectional areas of the main flow path in a downstream direction are selected such that they fulfill a certain relationship to increase the realizable level of efficient work to be supplied.

Fluid flow machine with high performance

The present invention relates to a blade row group arrangeable in a main flow path of a fluid-flow machine and including N adjacent member blade rows firmly arranged relative to one another in both the meridional direction (m) and the circumferential direction (u), with the number N of the member blade rows being greater than/equal to 2 and (i) designating the running index with values between 1 and N. Here, a front member blade row with front blades (i) having a leading edge and a trailing edge as well as a rear member blade row with rear blades (i+1) having a leading edge and a trailing edge are provided.

A cover band assembly of a blade row of stator or rotor blades is provided. The cover band assembly comprises a blade row that is arranged inside a main flow path of a continuous-flow machine and has multiple blades which respectively have a front edge and a rear edge; and a cover band of the blade row that is at least partially embedded in a component or a component group as regarded in a longitudinal section of the continuous-flow machine, wherein a cavity is formed that surrounds the cover band and is connected to the main flow path by way of two cavity openings, wherein the front cavity opening is provided upstream of the front edge and the rear cavity opening is provided downstream of the rear edge of the blades of the blade row. Here, the cover band has a leading edge and a trailing edge.

Here, a front member blade row with front blades (i) having a leading edge VK(i) and a trailing edge HK(i) as well as a rear member blade row with rear blades (i+1) having a leading edge VK(i+1) and a trailing edge HK(i+1) are provided.

A fluid-flow machine includes: a main flow path boundary and at least one row of relatively rotating blades with a gap existing between blade ends and the main flow path boundary. At least one secondary flow duct having one opening each is provided in the main flow path boundary at ends spaced apart in the flow direction, such that the secondary flow duct is connected to the main flow path via the two openings. The structural assembly has at least one support component and at least one insertion component. The support component includes a recess extending in the circumferential direction that receives the at least one insertion component such that the support component surrounds the at least one insertion component largely on its sides not facing the main flow path, and where the insertion component completely surrounds or forms at least one secondary flow duct.

At least one secondary flow duct has in the main flow path boundary one opening each at ends spaced apart in the flow direction, such that the secondary flow duct is connected to the main flow path via the two openings. The structural assembly has at least two components connected to one another, i.e. at least one support component and at least one connecting component, where the support component at least partially forms the main flow path boundary and where the connecting component forms or surrounds at least one part-section of the secondary flow duct.

A relative secondary passage length (v') and a relative secondary passage width (w&#x2032;) each increase at least in one part of the area between the mean meridional flow line (SLM) and at least one of the main flow path boundaries (HB) towards the main flow path boundary (HB).

A structural assembly for a fluid-flow machine includes a main flow path boundary a row of relatively rotating blades with a gap existing between the blade ends and the main flow path boundary. A secondary flow duct is connected to the main flow path via two openings. A structural assembly has at least one support component and at least one insertion component. A structure extending in the circumferential direction and receiving or holding at least one insertion component along the circumference is provided in the support component. Each insertion component forms with at least some of its faces at least part of the main flow path boundary. Each secondary flow duct is jointly limited along at least part of its course by faces of at least two components of the structural assembly.

The present invention relates to a blade of a row of rotor blades or stator blades for use in a turbomachine, with the blade being designed with a substantially convex suction side and a substantially concave pressure side as well as with a leading edge, onto which the flow passes, and a trailing edge, away from which the flow passes. The blade has at least one contour recess provided on at least one of the blade sides including the suction side and the pressure side, wherein the contour recess includes a step edge, a contour corner and a flank face provided between the step edge and the contour corner. The contour recess extends over at least a part of the profile depth and/or the profile height of the blade.

Blade of a row of rotor blades or stator blades for use in a turbomachine

A structural assembly for a fluid-flow machine includes a main flow path boundary, a row of relatively rotating blades with a gap existing between the blade ends and the main flow path boundary. A secondary flow duct is connected to the main flow path via the two openings spaced apart in the flow direction. A structural assembly has at least one support component and at least one replaceable plug connected directly or indirectly to the support component. The replaceable plug includes a part-section of a secondary flow duct, where the part-section complements at least one further part-section of the secondary flow duct extending outside the plug in the structural assembly to form a secondary flow duct which is continuous between its openings.
