An electric machine may be an external rotor motor with a stator and a rotor surrounding the stator. The rotor may be mounted on bearings so as to be rotatable around an axis of rotation relative to the stator, where the mechanical forces transmitted by the bearings of the rotor may be absorbed at least in part by the stator. The stator may have a coil winding for generating a magnetic field, the coil winding being surrounded at least partially by a casting compound. At the output, the mechanical forces of the rotor or the device transmitted by the bearings and taken up by the stator may be introduced into the stator largely via the casting compound. The casting compound thus reduces induced vibrations.

A Vernier external rotor machine for direct drive of a load is provided. The Vernier external rotor machine includes an external rotor configured to mechanically directly drive to a load.

Vernier external rotor machine and motor system

A motor system includes: a stator; a rotor; a motor shaft, which is mechanically coupled for conjoint rotation with the rotor, and which defines a radial direction and an axial direction of the motor system; heat-generating components, in particular power semiconductors; a control device which is designed to control an operation of the motor system; and a housing. The housing has a first central chamber, wherein the stator, the rotor and the heat-generating components are arranged inside the first chamber, and wherein the heat-generating components are connected to an outer wall of the first chamber, and has a number of second chambers, wherein the second chambers radially surround the first chamber, and wherein the second chambers form closed channels for guiding cooling air.

Motor system

A drive system has an electric motor, wherein the electric motor includes a first three-phase stator winding system and a second three-phase stator winding system. The first and the second stator winding system are arranged on the stator in a manner rotated through an electrical phase angle in relation to one another. The drive system includes a frequency converter, wherein the frequency converter has a first bridge circuit arrangement which is designed to generate voltages for the first winding system and a second bridge circuit arrangement which is designed to generate voltages for the second winding system. The first bridge circuit arrangement and the second bridge circuit arrangement are connected in series. A control device is designed to actuate the first bridge circuit arrangement and the second bridge circuit arrangement.

Drive system

A drive system has an electric motor having a shaft; an electronic assembly; and a fan driven by way of the shaft, the electronic assembly being rigidly and thermally coupled to the fan.
