A ventilation system for a mobile structure, in particular a motor vehicle, includes: a variably adjustable filter device including at least one controllable, variable filter characteristic with regard to a pollutant class; means for collecting information about the air quality in the surroundings of the mobile structure and in particular information about the air quality in an interior of the mobile structure; and a control unit for varying filter characteristics of the filter device in a variable, in particular continuous, manner, on the basis of the information about the air quality.

A filter arrangement for a mobile device includes at least one first filter element and at least one second filter element, which are arranged in an air duct of the mobile device. The at least one first filter element is a pleated filter and the at least one second filter element is an adsorption filter. The at least one first filter element and the at least one second filter element are separate and mounted in the air duct so as to be mutually spaced. The at least one first filter element includes at least one nonwoven layer. The at least one second filter element is a honeycomb filter including a plurality of channels which are delimited by channel walls.

A ventilation insert for textiles, with at least one layer, covered at least partially by an absorption material and having ventilation openings, the openings being at least partially closeable via a liquid by swelling of the absorption material, obtainable by: a) treating a layer having ventilation openings with a mixture, containing a wetting agent, initiator, polymerizable monomer or oligomers, and a cross-linking agent, as a preliminary stage for the absorption material; and b) polymerizing the monomer or oligomer to form the absorption material while forming a bonded connection between the absorption material and the layer. A filter element includes a first bellows which is produced from a first filter medium, in view of the object of providing a filter element which after some service life can be readily modified in such a manner that said filter element again achieves an adequate filtration effect, is characterized in that a second bellows which is produced from a second filter medium is provided, wherein the second bellows is inserted into a recess of the first bellows and the periphery of the second bellows is partly or completely surrounded by the first bellows or wherein the second bellows is placed onto the first bellows in such a manner that the recess is covered by the second bellows and the fold tips of the bellows are aligned with one another.

Filter element

A filter element includes a filter web pleated in an essentially zigzag manner and made, in particular, of a nonwoven material, for insertion into a holder such as a filter frame and/or a filter housing, having at least one end-positioned wall of an essentially flat design. The filter element includes at least one end face, viewed in the direction of the pleats. To achieve a tighter seal, the end face of the filter element is curved outward in a defined convex manner, and the filter web material is selected and/or its end face conditioned so that, when inserted into the holder, the end face of the filter web may be placed leak-tight against the end wall of the holder without corrugation under elastic pre-tension.
