A filtering device for fluids includes a filter housing () and a filter element () received in the filter housing. The filter element has an end cap () on at least one end. The end cap forms an enclosure for the corresponding end edge of the filtering material () and is fixed on an element receiver () interacting with the bottom part () of the filter housing () to fix the position of the filter element () in its functional position. The element receiver forms a fluid path for the cleaned fluid exiting the hollow chamber () of the filter element (). The element receiver () contains a valve arrangement () blocking the fluid path (). A control device () releasing the valve arrangement () in the functional position is on the end cap () of the filtering element (). The end cap is fixed on the element receiver ().

A filter device has a filter housing () receiving a filter element () defining a longitudinal axis and being in the form of a filter cartridge. An end cap () forms an enclosure for the relevant end rim of the filter material (). The end cap fixes the position of the filter element () in its functional position by being on an element receiver () that interacts with the bottom part () of the filter housing (). The element receiver () and the assigned end cap () of the filter element (), on their parts (and) coming into engagement with one another in the functional position of the filter element are provided with shaped irregularities matched to one another to enable the engagement in a positional relationship directed towards one another.

Filter device and filter element for use with such a filter device

A device for drying medium flow (), in particular an air flow, includes a device housing (), in which at least first and second drying agents () are received. The first and second drying agents have a high moisture absorption capacity in the case of low and high moisture values of the medium flow (), respectively. The amount of the respective drying agent () can be selectively set depending on the actual moisture present in the medium flow ().
