Systems and techniques for managing priorities are disclosed. A network sending broadcast and/or dedicated priorities to a mobile terminal may include priorities with respect to a radio access technology that does not support priority based reselection, such as for a legacy network that does not support priority based reselection. Priorities may be supplied to a mobile terminal to allow cell reselection decisions without using different cell reselection mechanisms in parallel. An indication of a plurality candidate cells with respect to cell reselection of a mobile terminal may be received and then a priority may be assigned to each candidate cells, where at least one candidate cell of the plurality of candidate cells does not support priority based cell reselection. The priorities may be provided to the mobile terminal.

Method, apparatus and computer program product for priority based cell reselection in a multi-RAT environment

There is provided arrangements for controlling and supporting network sharing. A set of common system information which applies to communication networks sharing at least one shared local communication area for communicating with host network elements is prepared. A set of dedicated system information which applies to at least one of the communication networks sharing the at least one shared local communication area is prepared. The dedicated system information is addressed only to host network elements being configured to support sharing of a local communication area. System information including the set of common system information and the set of dedicated system information is transmitted.
