An onsite purification plant/system to delivery high and ultra high purity product, such as, process chemicals, industrial and specialty gases to manufacturing processes within the onsite plant turndown ratio from 0% to 100% while preserving the predetermined purity of the supplied substances within a predefined specification range is provided. Preserving liquid/vapor ratio in at least one of the purification means/units ensuring that product purity range stays unchanged is achieved by redirecting the product back into the onsite purification plant/system.

Methods are provide for dispensing a product to a user, the product releasably incorporated within a carrier. In one embodiment, the method comprises the step of providing a first user comprising at least one storage vessel for receiving and storing fresh and at least one vessel for receiving and storing spent. The method further includes the steps of: collecting spent from a storage vessel of the first user; detecting a chemical or physical property of the collected spent; and comparing the detected chemical or physical property of the collected spent with a predetermined criteria. In a second embodiment, the method comprises the step of providing the first user, and further includes the steps of: determining an estimated amount of product to be transferred to the first user; optionally, collecting and validating information concerning the purchaser; transferring fresh to the storage vessel of the first user; collecting measurement data concerning fresh transferred from the first user; removing spent from a storage vessel of the first user; collecting measurement data concerning spent collected from the first user; optionally, calculating the net amount of product transferred; and determining whether the transfer of fresh and removal of spent has been performed on a substantially equal exchange basis. In a third embodiment, the method comprises providing a first user and a seller, the seller transferring fresh to the first user, collecting measurement data, and assigning a monetary price to be charged to the user.

A liquid distributor and method for distribution of a liquid in a mass transfer column, the distributor includes at least one riser comprising at least one riser wall, the at least one riser wall extends from a first surface of the distributor in a first direction of the mass transfer column; at least one shield, the at least one shield extends from a second surface of the distributor opposite the first surface and extending in a second direction opposite the first direction; and at least one liquid distribution aperture extending from the first surface of the distributor through the second surface of the distributor, the at least one shield has a length extending in the second direction such that a gap is created between the at least one shield and a packing, the height of the gap between the shield and the packing is about 10 mm to 75 mm.

The prereformer effluent may be heated in a heat exchange tube in the furnace where the heat exchange tube is positioned in the furnace to preclude direct radiation from any flames in the furnace thereby preventing local overheating of the heat exchange tube and preventing carbon formation in the heat exchange tube. Fuel and oxidant gas may be introduced into the furnace with significant excess oxidant gas, having a stoichiometric ratio of 1.8 to 2.8 for controlling the temperature of the heat exchange tube.

In one embodiment, the invention is a system for distributing a product releasably incorporated within a carrier, recovering spent, and conveying spent to a rehabilitation facility. In this embodiment, the system comprises a mobile delivery vehicle, the vehicle comprising a first storage vessel for storing fresh and for dispensing fresh using a connected fresh dispensing apparatus and for receiving and storing spent from a spent dispensing apparatus, the storage vessel further including means for separating fresh from spent. The system further includes fresh, spent, and a first user. The first user comprises a fresh storage vessel for receiving, storing, and dispensing fresh, and further comprises a first spent storage vessel for receiving, storing, and dispensing spent. The system further includes a fresh dispensing apparatus for linking the first storage vessel and the fresh storage vessel of the first user for dispensing of fresh to the first user, and a spent removal apparatus for linking the first storage vessel and the spent storage vessel of the first user for removal of fresh from the first user for storage in the first storage vessel. Use of a mobile delivery vehicle to deliver fresh and recover spent for rehabilitation from a plurality of users avoids logistic inefficiencies, and reduces potential for contamination and/or loss of product, carrier, fresh, and spent.

Efficient system and method for delivery of product and return of carrier

Systems and methods for supply and delivery of a product incorporated into a carrier are provided. In one embodiment, the invention comprises a system that comprises a fresh storage vessel for receiving and storing fresh. The system further includes a fresh transferring apparatus communicably linked to the fresh storage vessel for transferring of fresh to a user when the user is connected to the transferring apparatus. The system further includes a spent storage vessel for receiving and storing spent (spent being defined as fresh with at least some product and/or product element removed therefrom), and a spent transferring apparatus communicably linked to the spent storage vessel for transferring spent from a user when the user is connected to the transferring apparatus. Optionally, the system further includes of an intermediate spent storage vessel disposed in the communicable connection between the spent transferring apparatus and the spent storage vessel. The intermediate spent storage vessel optionally includes a controllable communicable connection for selective transfer of spent from the intermediate storage vessel to a contamination storage vessel or the spent storage vessel. The carrier may be in any physical state or any combination thereof. In addition, the carrier may involve any known mechanism to capture, retain, or release product, for example, chemical reaction, adsorption, dilution, among others.

Method and system of supply and delivery of product contained in a carrier

Systems and methods for distributing a product releasably incorporated within a carrier, and for removing the product and returning the carrier for rehabilitation. In one embodiment, the system includes a first supply loop comprising a manufacturing facility for releasably incorporating a product into a first carrier to form fresh. The first loop further includes transportation means for conveying fresh to a first user, the first user including a fresh storage vessel for receiving and storage of fresh. The first user further comprises means for removing product from the carrier to form spent, and a spent storage vessel for receiving, storing, and dispensing of spent. The loop further includes means for returning the spent to a rehabilitation facility of the spent to form fresh wherein a product is contained in a carrier. The carrier may be in any physical state such as for example, solid, liquid, vapor, plasma, or any combination thereof. In addition, the carrier may involve any known mechanism to capture, retain, or release product, for example, chemical reaction, adsorption, dilution, among others. Optionally, the invention comprises a second supply loop that received product liberated from the first supply loop, without exchanging carrier, fresh, or spent with the first supply loop. The invention thus provides for product transfer efficiently and economically with minimal possible losses of the carrier quantity and quality. Contamination of a carrier and/or unintended mixing of different carriers is avoided, or at least localized to limited quantities.

Secure loop system and method for supply and delivery of product contained in a carrier

A heater for fluid flow components. The heater has heat transfer surfaces that engage the component. The transfer surfaces are mounted on jaws that are movable to engage the component. The jaws have massive portions that act as heat reservoirs to maintain a constant temperature in spite of rapid cooling when gas is allowed to expand freely from the component. The jaws are heated by electrical resistive heating elements that are sealingly mounted within the massive portions. The sealing engagement allows the heater to be used in hazardous environments.

The invention relates to a process and apparatus for delivering an ultra high purity fluid comprising at least one component to a point of use at a required pressure without mechanical pumping. In one embodiment, a high purity feed comprising at least one component in gaseous or liquid form is charged into a vessel and at least partially converted to a solid phase source. As the feed is converted to a solid phase source, additional feed may be added until the vessel is at least substantially filled with a solid phase source or slush. Once filled, the solid phase source or slush may be isochorically heated whereby the solid phase source is converted to a product at an elevated pressure.
