Methods, systems, and media for determining a coverage score for a system that receives a stream of requests are provided. In some embodiments, the method includes: for a processing system that receives a stream of requests, determining a first time window in which requests are received by the processing system, wherein the first time window has a start time and an end time and wherein each of the requests is associated with a timestamp; determining a first number of requests that entered the processing system after the start time of the first time window; determining a second number of requests that entered the processing system within the first time window and that were successfully completed within a second time window from the timestamp associated with each of the requests; determining a coverage score that is a ratio of the second number of requests in comparison with the first number of requests; and generating a notification for a user of the processing system based on the coverage score.

Methods, systems, and media for determining a coverage score for a system that receives a stream of requests

A first segment of a probe media item that is transmitted as a first live-stream of an event is received. After a first delay period, whether the first segment of the probe media item is similar to a first segment of a first reference media item that is transmitted as a second live-stream of the event and received subsequent to the probe media item is determined. Responsive to determining, after the first delay period, that the first segment is similar to the first segment of the first reference media item, a remedial action in association with the probe media item is performed.

Detecting similar live streams ingested ahead of the reference content

A system and method includes receiving a first segment of a probe media item that is transmitted as a first live-stream of an event. The method includes determining, after a first delay period, whether the first segment of the probe media item is similar to a first segment of a first reference media item that is transmitted as a second live-stream of the event and received subsequent to the probe media item. The method includes determining, after the first delay period, whether a second segment of the probe media item is similar to a second segment of the first reference media item. The method also includes responsive to determining that the first segment and the second segment of the probe media item are respectively similar to the first segment and the second segment of the first reference media item, performing a remedial action in association with the probe media item.

Systems and methods for identifying representative media items are provided herein. In particular, users can upload media items to a system. The media items can be matched to reference media items. Candidate representative media items can be selected from matching media items. Representative media items can be selected, from the candidate representative media items, to represent partially matching media items.

Selecting representative media items based on match information

A media sharing system identifies fingerprints that represent an uploaded video and generates a digest based on the fingerprints. The media sharing system searches for digests of previously processed videos whose digests match the digest of the uploaded video. A previously processed video whose digest matches the digest of the uploaded video is identified as a matching video. For each matching video, the media sharing system retrieves policy information that describes whether the video was found to violate one or more policies of the media sharing system. The media sharing system determines whether to halt processing of the uploaded video based on the retrieved policy information.
