Methods and systems of burning a multi-phase hydrocarbon fluid include determining a water content of the multi-phase hydrocarbon fluid, communicating the multiphase hydrocarbon fluid to a fuel port of a burner in a primary fuel flow, initiating a flame at the burner to combust the multi-phase hydrocarbon fluid, communicating an auxiliary fuel source to the burner fuel port in an auxiliary fuel flow, and controlling the primary and auxiliary fuel flows based on the water content of the multi-phase hydrocarbon fluid.

Method and system for effluent combustion

A multiphase burner for flaring gaseous/liquid combustible mixtures is disclosed. The burner may include a hollow base with an inlet for receiving the combustible gas/liquid mixture as well as a distal end that may be coupled to or that forms a nozzle cap. The nozzle cap may form as first outlet. The base may be coupled to a central body and a hollow bushing that encircles at least part of the central body. The base may form a mouth disposed between the inlet and the central body. The mouth may be in communication with a first passage that extends from the mouth to the first outlet and between the bushing and the distal end of the base. The mouth may be in communication with a second passage that extends from the mouth to the second outlet and between the bushing and central body.

Multiphase burner

A burner assembly () for flaring low calorific gases, such as methane with high carbon dioxide content, may be configured to provide a gradual decrease in flow velocity. The burner assembly () may include a conical deflector () that creates a relatively large recirculation zone () downstream of the deflector (), thereby to stabilize fluid flow. A swirl inducing structure positioned in a final stage of the burner assembly () further stabilizes the fluid flow and flame at different gas flow rates.

A dynamic calibration system and method for measuring flow rates for individual petroleum wells in a well pad are provided. The dynamic calibration system and method include means for performing custom-calibration of said pressure sensor for each individual well to enhance the accuracy of the resulting flow rate measurements.
