A system, method and architecture for network-assisted scanning of a surrounding environment. In one example arrangement, the system is operative for receiving one or more pieces of environmental data from a plurality of collection agents, each collection agent operating with a plurality of sensors configured to sense data relating to a respective location area of an environment, wherein the one or more environmental data is received responsive to determining that a portion of the environmental data is necessary for updating a consumption point report. Based on the received data, an updated consumption point report may be generated, which may be transmitted to a data consumption point.

Network-assisted scanning of a surrounding environment

A system, method and architecture for providing driving recommendations to a vehicle based on network-assisted scanning of a surrounding environment. In one embodiment, the system is operative for receiving environmental data from one or more collection agents, each operating with a plurality of sensors configured to sense data relating to the environment. At least one collection agent is operative in association with the vehicle for providing vehicular condition data and vehicular navigation data. Road condition information and obstacle condition information relating to a road segment, the vehicle is traversing may be obtained. Responsive to the road condition/navigation data, vehicle type and positioning, etc., a routing path over the road segment may be determined. In one configuration, the routing path may be presented via a display (e.g., AR/MR) associated with the vehicle.

Driving assistance system and method

A system, method and architecture for network-assisted scanning of a surrounding environment. In one example arrangement, the system is operative for receiving real world object identification and spatial mapping data relative to a plurality of real world scenarios sensed by sensing points, each operating as a collection agent configured to collect environmental data in association with a plurality of sensors. The data may be prioritized responsive to at least one of a determination of RAN resource capacity available to the collection agent, e.g., compute resources, storage resources, radio transmission resources, cost of the transmission capacity available to the collection agent, etc. in view of urgency/relevance of the data. Responsive to prioritizing the environmental data, one or more pieces of the environmental data may be transmitted to a nearest edge compute location and/or a cloud-based datacenter network node.

A tag-based, user-directed media recommendation scheme is described herein. For example described herein is a recommender system (and method implemented by the recommender system) comprising: a recommendation engine configured to generate a recommendations list which includes a current set of recommendations for a user of a client device; and, a tag engine configured to: (1) receive the recommendations list; (2) obtain information about representative items associated with the user of the client device; (3) correlate the recommendations with tags; (4) correlate the representative items with the tags, (5) sort the tags into a tag list; and (6) provide the recommendations list and the tag list to the client device. The representative items include at least one of following: (1) an item previously purchased by the user; (2) an item previously watched by the user; (3) an item previously placed on a wish-list by the user; and (4) an item recommended by the recommendation engine for the user. Further described herein, are the client device and method implemented by the client device.

Tag-based, user-directed media recommendations

A system, method and architecture for providing highly granular driving recommendations to a vehicle based on network-assisted scanning of a surrounding environment. In one embodiment, the system is operative for receiving environmental data from one or more collection agents, each operating with a plurality of sensors configured to sense data relating to the environment. At least one collection agent is operative in association with the vehicle for providing vehicular condition data and vehicular navigation data. The system is configured to calibrate the vehicle to identify a vehicle type responsive to the vehicular condition/navigation data. Road condition information and obstacle condition information relating to a road segment, the vehicle is traversing may also be obtained. Responsive to the road condition/navigation data, vehicle type and positioning, etc., an optimal racing line path over the road segment may be determined. In one configuration, the optimal racing line path may be presented via a display (e.g., AR/MR) associated with the vehicle.

Tag-based, user directed media recommendations

A distributed shared data storage such as the distributed shared memory exemplified with the DSM Master can seamlessly migrate (i.e. move) in the runtime between different nodes without affecting the user perceived performance according to embodiments of the present invention. This is achieved by using more than one replica simultaneously operating towards different master databases during the migration. That is, all distributed shared memory replicas can automatically and seamlessly be migrated to another master database, thus making the communication more flexible and efficient.

Client and a server and methods thereof for data management relating to shared data storage

The present invention relates to file pre-caching and file retrieving in an autonomous network access module comprising a local storage, and providing network connectivity to a mobile device in a telecommunication system. The network access module comprises a local storage and provides network connectivity to a mobile device () within which it is comprised. A received file request to a global radio network () from the mobile device () is intercepted, where after the file is searched for among available pre-cached files, which may reside within the local storage controlled by the network access module itself, or within a local storage of a peer network access module in a local radio network. If the file is found within available pre-cached files, it is transparently transferred over a bus interface to the requesting mobile device. During transfer, the amount of data is measured, and the measurements are subsequently used during an accounting stage where charging related information is reported to a charging modulein the global radio network. Files may be pre-cached in a distributed storage comprised by a group of network access modules conjoined by a local radio network. Files allotted for pre-caching by a network operator are received and stored in network access modules but are not billed unless the files are actually consumed.

Method and apparatus for pre-caching in a telecommunication system

A system for providing communication between one or more clients () and one or more service providers () is disclosed. The system comprises an access gateway () for maintaining transport-specific connections for one or more connections between the client () and the access gateway (), an application level router () for routing messages between clients () and service providers (), an authentication provider () for verifying the identity of users of clients (), and a look-up service () for keeping a registry of currently available services. Various methods related to the system are also disclosed.
