Systems and methods for rapidly and reliably determining an arch width of a patient's dental arch. A three-dimensional (3D) model of a patient's teeth, including a target tooth, can be received. Dental features from the 3D model may be extracted. The dental features may include a point of intersection between an occlusal surface of a tooth and a long axis of the tooth. An arch width between the target tooth and an opposing tooth may be determined based on the extracted dental features.

Dental arch width measurement methods and systems

Systems and methods for rapidly and reliably determining an arch with of a patient's dental arch. A first portion of a 3D model of a patient's dentition is identified that corresponds to a first target tooth, the first portion of the 3D model is associated with one or more attributes of the first target tooth. A second portion of the 3D model is identified that corresponds to a second target tooth opposing the first target tooth. The second portion is associated with one or more attributes of the second target tooth. The arch width is automatically measured based on the attributes of the first and second target teeth. A graphic representing the arch width is overlayed on the patient's dentition.

Systems and methods for rapidly and reliably determining an arch with of a patient's dental arch. A patient's dentition may be scanned and/or segmented. Arch width may be determined between points of intersection on the occlusal surface and a long axis of each tooth between one or more of: canine, first bicuspid, first primary molar, second bicuspid, second primary molar, and permanent first molar. Arch widths of different modified versions of the patient's dentition may be dynamically compared the patient's starting dentition, or to each other, and may be dynamically updated as the user modifies or switches between one or more 3D models of the patient's dentition.

The casing comprises a combustion chamber and a nozzle, consisting of a subsonic and a supersonic sections with an external structural envelope and a fire wall having a ribbed external surface. The regenerative cooling passage is formed between the envelope and the fire wall. The fire wall is made from copper or a copper alloy, and the external structural envelope is made from steel or a nickel alloy. The fire wall has a metal coating stratified in the region of the nozzle throat over a length of not less than 0.3 diameter of the nozzle throat in the longitudinal direction. The first layer of the coating is nickel 50 &mgr;m to 1000 &mgr;m thick, and the second layer is chromium 10 &mgr;m to 500 &mgr;m thick.
