A phased array antenna comprises an array of reflective cells, each cell being defined by a wall positioned within the array the wall arranged to define a waveguide, and having a moveable reflector positioned within the wall. Each reflector is arranged such that it is not in electrical contact with its respective wall and such that, in use it can be moved to tune the antenna. A feed and subreflector are positioned within the array and arranged to transmit and/or receive electromagnetic signals to and/or from the array.

Phased array antenna

A phased antenna array device comprises at least one input port for interfacing receive and transmit RF signals to/from an antenna array. A feeding line is provided to carry RF signals of two orthogonal polarizations from the input port P, and at least one antenna feed element with an aperture or cross section having an order of symmetry Cand supporting RF signals of two orthogonal polarizations is provided. At least one first substrate contains a plurality of antenna elements integrated into the substrate, with each antenna element capable of operating at two orthogonal polarizations. A plurality of phase shifters are connected to corresponding antenna elements, each phase shifter operating at two orthogonal polarizations, the output port of each phase shifter being connected to a short circuit.

Phased antenna array device

A wireless charger is disclosed that comprises a transmitter and a resonator connected to the transmitter and comprising a conductive path substantially located within a plane, wherein the conductive path is arranged to form at least two loops, said loops being arranged such that a current that flows in the conductive path flows around a first one of said loops in a first direction and around a second one of said loops in a second direction opposite the first direction.

Wireless charger with resonator

A reconstituted electronic device comprising at least one die and at least one passive component. A functional material is incorporated in the substrate of the device to modify the electrical behavior of the passive component. The passive component may be formed in redistribution layers of the device. Composite functional materials may be used in the substrate to forms part of or all of the passive component. A metal carrier may form part of the substrate and part of the at least one passive component.

The present application relates to apparatus for wirelessly charging a rechargeable battery, the apparatus comprising: a charging resonator assembly for converting energy from a magnetic field external to the apparatus into an electric current; and a charging circuit for charging the battery using the electric current, wherein the charging resonator assembly includes a plurality of microelectromechanical system (MEMS) switches which, when open, divide the charging resonator into a plurality of electrically unconnected resonator portions, and which, when closed, connect the plurality of resonator portions to form a continuous resonator.

Apparatus for wirelessly charging a rechargeable battery

A shielded system for reducing energy dissipation from an RF component into a semiconductor substrate, the shielded system comprising: a semiconductor substrate; an RF component in connection with the semiconductor substrate; an electrically connected shielding structure having a galvanic connection to ground or the semiconductor substrate, the electrically connected shielding structure being electrically connected to the RF component; and an electrically isolated shielding structure having no galvanic connection to ground, the semiconductor substrate or the RF component.

Methods and apparatus for a multi-polarized wireless communications system

An inductor structure includes an even number of segments, each segment adjacent to two segments, each segment including a loop, each loop having a first end and a second end; and a crossover section adjacent to each segment, the crossover section coupling each of the first ends and second ends of the loops so as to cause current to circulate around the loop of each segment in an opposite rotational direction to the direction of current circulation in the loops of the segments adjacent to that segment.
