A method of detecting the presence of SARS-CoV-2 using oligonucleotide primer pairs is disclosed. Oligonucleotide primer pairs for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 using polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based methods are also disclosed. Further, biomarkers and probes for SARS-CoV-2 detection are disclosed. The disclosure also relates to the identification and isolation of biomarkers for use as probes for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 and further use of the biomarkers as a target for the development of drug targets and therapeutics for SARS-CoV-2.

Primer sets, biomarkers, kit and applications thereof

The present subject matter describes system () for magnetic enrichment of magnetically marked analytes. The system has capture chip () comprising a sample chamber () for holding sample having magnetically marked analytes, and a recovery chamber () connected to the sample chamber by a channel (). The volume of recovery chamber is smaller than volume of sample chamber (). The system has magnetic arrangement () comprising a set of magnets () in which each two adjacent magnets have opposite polarities facing sample chamber. Set of magnets has dimensions that at least conform to coverage area of sample chamber. The magnetic arrangement also has at least one recovery magnet () having dimensions conforming to coverage area of recovery chamber and on alignment, the at least one recovery magnet () is at a distance farthest away from the recovery chamber. The system has a linear positioner () for moving the magnetic arrangement.

Magnetic enrichment of magnetically marked analytes

The subject matter discloses systems and methods for magnetic capturing of rare cells from a liquid sample. The system includes a capture chip () having a longitudinal channel () comprising a first part () and a second part (). The capture chip () has a capture well () near an end of the second part () closer to an interfacing region between the first part () and the second part (). The system includes a first set () of multiple rows of magnets for the magnetic capturing of the rare cells in the first part () of the longitudinal channel (), where a first row () of the first set () of multiple rows has magnets that span a length of the first part () of the longitudinal channel () and each subsequent row of the first set () of multiple rows has one magnet less than a previous row.
