Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to multilayer films. Embodiments of the multilayer films may include a first layer comprising a polyethylene composition having a density of 0.924 g/cmto 0.936 g/cmand a melt index (I) of 0.25 g/10 minutes to 2.0 g/10 minutes, a second layer comprising a first polyolefin, a third layer comprising a second polyolefin. The first layer may be positioned between the second layer and the third layer. The first polyolefin and the second polyolefin may be the same or different.

Multilayer films having at least three layers and methods of producing the same

The present invention is directed to polyethylene-based compositions suitable for packaging applications, films, and articles. The polyethylene-based composition according to embodiments disclosed herein includes a polyethylene composition having a first polyethylene fraction and a second polyethylene fraction as well as a calcium salt of 1,2-cyclohexanedicarbodylic acid. The polyethylene-based composition can deliver a balance of properties, including barrier properties, for packaging applications.

Polyethylene-based compositions and films and articles comprising the same

Embodiments of the present invention relate to multilayer films and articles. In one aspect, a multilayer film comprises at least one outer layer comprising at least 50 wt % of a polyethylene composition comprising the reaction product of ethylene and optionally, one or more alpha-olefin comonomers, wherein the polyethylene composition is characterized by the following properties: a. a melt index, I, of from 0.3 to 3.0 g/10 min; b. a density of from 0.950 to 0.965 g/cm; c. a melt flow ratio, I/I, of from 6.3 to 7.5; and d. a molecular weight distribution (MWD) of from 2.2 to 3.5, wherein the multilayer film has a thickness of at least 2 mils, wherein the multilayer film comprises at least 50% by weight polyethylene, wherein the multilayer film exhibits a surface haze of 13.5% or less when measured according to ASTM 1003-07, and wherein the multilayer film exhibit a water vapor transmission rate of 0.7 g/mil/100 in/day or less when measured according to ASTM F1249-06 at a temperature of 38° C. and a relative humidity of 100%.

Blown films comprising bimodal ethylene-based polymers having high molecular weight high density fractions

The present disclosure includes a composition that includes an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin random copolymer having density of 0.890 g/cmor less, a melting point of 100&#xb0; C. or less, and a melt index from 0.2 g/10 min to 8.0 g/10 min, a styrenic block copolymer comprising from 1 wt % to less than 50 wt % units of styrene, a tackifier, and an oil. The composition may exhibit an overall melt index of the composition of from 2 g/10 min to 15 g/10 min. The composition can be used as an adhesive in some embodiments. The present disclosure also includes multilayer films that include the composition, which may provide reclose functionality to the multilayer film. The multilayer films that include the composition may provide low initial opening force and improved reclose adhesion through multiple reclose cycles. The present disclosure also includes various types of reclosable packaging articles that include the multilayer films and adhesive compositions.

A multilayer film including a core layer and two skin layers, wherein the core layer is positioned between the two skin layers, wherein the core layer includes a polyethylene composition including a high density polyethylene having a density of 0.930-0.965 g/cc and a melt index of 0.7-10.0 g/10 min, and wherein each skin layer independently includes a polypropylene composition including greater than 50 wt. %, based on the total weight of the polypropylene composition, of a propylene-based polymer.

A multilayer polyethylene film comprising a core layer, a first outer layer, and a second outer layer, wherein the core layer is positioned between the first outer layer and the second outer layer, the core layer comprises a linear low density polyethylene and, optionally, a first low density polyethylene resin, and the first outer layer and the second outer layer independently comprise a polyethylene resin and, optionally, a second low density polyethylene resin, wherein the density of the linear low density polyethylene is less than the density of the polyethylene resin.

The present invention provides personal care formulations containing silicone modified polyolefins and having improved sensory feel, as well as being non-tacky and easily spreadable. The present invention also provides a method for treating body surfaces such as skin, hair, nails, etc., by applying the aforesaid personal care formulations externally to such a surface. The present invention also provides a method for improving the sensory feel of personal care formulations by including one or more silicone modified polyolefins in the formulations.
