Systems and methods for detecting symptoms of occupant illness is disclosed herein. In embodiments, a storage is configured to maintain a visualization application and data from one or more sources, such as an image source. A processor is in communication with the storage and a user interface. The processor is programmed to receive data from the one or more sources, execute human-detection models based on the received data, execute activity-recognition models to recognize symptoms of illness based on the data from the one or more sources, determine a location of the recognized symptoms, and execute a visualization application to display information in the user interface. The visualization application can show a background image with an overlaid image that includes an indicator for each location of recognized symptom of illness. Additionally, data from the audio source, image source, and/or radar source can be fused.

Systems and methods for detecting symptoms of occupant illness

A system and method is disclosed for determining a particular vehicle state based on a UWB signal received at a plurality of receiving nodes. A plurality of channel-impulse responses (CIRs) may be computed from the UWB signal received from the plurality of receiving nodes. A plurality of peak-based features based on a selected position and amplitude may be extracted from the plurality of CIRs. A plurality of correlation-based features may be generated by correlating the plurality of CIRs to a corpus of reference CIRs relating to a plurality of vehicle states. A plurality of maximum likelihood vehicle matrices may be generated by correlating the plurality of CIRs to the corpus of reference CIRs relating to the plurality of vehicle states. The vehicle state may then be determined by processing the plurality of peak-based features and correlation-based features using the machine learning classification algorithm.

Ultra-wideband intelligent sensing system and method for car states detection

Device fingerprinting is provided for ultra-wide band (UWB) communications. A wireless receiver receives wireless signals including an UWB packet sent from a transmitter. Channel impulse response (CIR) data is extracted from the UWB packet. A device fingerprint of the transmitter is created according to the CIR data, the device fingerprint being representative of physical properties of the wireless signals of the UWB packet. The transmitter is authenticated by the receiver based on the device fingerprint.

Ultra-wide band device fingerprinting

Methods and systems for estimating vital signs of vehicle occupants using Ultra-Wideband communication. UWB signals are transmitted from one UWB system node to another UWB system node. Channel impulse responses (CIRs) associated with the UWB signals are determined. Based on the CIRs, in some embodiments velocities associated with the UWB signals are determined, and activities of vehicle occupants are classified based on the CIRs along with vital signs such as breathing rates. In other embodiments, based on the CIRs, phase unwrapping of phase features associated with the CIRs is performed, and principle component analysis (PCA) transforms the CIRs, allowing estimated vital signs such as breathing rates to be determined.

Methods and systems for estimating vital signs of vehicle occupants using ultra wideband

Occupancy sensing using ultra-wideband (UWB) keyless infrastructure is provided. Channel impulse response (CIR) measurements are received from a plurality of UWB transceiver nodes arranged about a plurality of locations. A classification model it utilized to predict occupancy of each of the plurality of locations based on CIR tensors formed from the CIR measurements for each of the UWB transceiver nodes.

Embodiments of a backscatter communication system and methods of using the system are disclosed. The system may comprise a backscatter node, comprising: an antenna circuit; and a wake-up circuit coupled to the antenna circuit. The wake-up circuit may be configured to, using pattern correlation, identify at least one predefined waveform within a radio frequency signal and in response to the identification, enable a receiver circuit.

In one embodiment, a diagnostic device determines signal strengths of two antennas of a multi-antenna device. When the signal strength of each of the two antennas is unacceptable, the diagnostic device provides a recommendation to adjust each of the two antennas.
