A disposable absorbent article is described. The disposable absorbent article includes a topsheet forming at least a portion of a wearer-facing surface of the absorbent article; a backsheet forming at least a portion of a garment-facing surface of the absorbent article; an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and an adhesive for attachment of the disposable absorbent article to an undergarment. The adhesive is disposed on the garment-facing surface. The absorbent article exhibits a peel force of at least 1.0 N, about 1.1 N or about 1.2 N in accordance with the Peel Force test and leaves no residue on an undergarment in accordance with the Adhesive Residue test.

Adhesive for an absorbent article

An absorbent article is provided. The absorbent article includes a liquid pervious film topsheet having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface; a backsheet having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface; an absorbent core having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface, the absorbent core being provided between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a bonding layer having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface. The body facing surface of the bonding layer has a fibrous matrix comprising cellulosic fibers and thermoplastic fibers, and the garment facing surface of the topsheet is directly bonded to the body facing surface of the bonding layer at discrete adhesive-free bond points.

Absorbent article with improved bonding

An absorbent article is disclosed. The absorbent article has a longitudinal centerline, a transverse centerline generally perpendicular to the longitudinal centerline, a wearer-facing surface and an opposing garment-facing surface, a front end region, an opposing back end region, and a central region disposed between the front end region and the back end region. The absorbent article further includes a topsheet; a backsheet; an absorbent system disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a plurality of pre-formed adhesive portions disposed on the garment-facing surface. The absorbent article exhibits a peel force of at least 1.0 N in accordance with the Peel Force test and leaves no residue in accordance with the Adhesive Residue test method.

An absorbent article is provided. The absorbent article includes a liquid pervious film topsheet having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface; a backsheet having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface; an absorbent core having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface, the absorbent core being provided between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a bonding layer having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface. The bonding layer having a basis weight of less than 100 gsm and positioned between the absorbent core and the topsheet, the bonding layer being bonded to the topsheet forming a bond pattern. The bond pattern covering at least about 10% to about 20% of the absorbent article.

An absorbent product comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core, the absorbent core comprising an absorbent structure comprising one or more stratum comprising one or more enrobeable elements, wherein a smooth transition zone is exhibited between an acquisition portion of the absorbent structure and a storage portion of the absorbent structure.
