A heat exchange and heat transfer device comprises an evaporating/absorbing arrangement connected to a binary mixture flow circuit containing a first refrigerant fluid and a second absorbing fluid. The refrigerant fluid is evaporated in the evaporator part of the arrangement and subsequently absorbed in the absorber part by an absorbing fluid-enriched mixture. The evaporating/absorbing arrangement comprises at least two oppositely disposed reference surfaces defining evaporation and absorption components, respectively, an evaporator mass for supplying the liquid refrigerant fluid to the reference surface of the evaporation component and an absorber mass for supplying the absorbing fluid-enriched mixture to the reference surface of the absorption component.

Heat exchange and heat transfer device, in particular for a motor vehicle

The invention concerns an absorption cooling system for a motor vehicle using water as coolant and an absorbent. Said system comprises a circuit designed to ensure circulation of the coolant, when the engine is stopped, from the evaporator () to the absorber () passing through the electromagnetic valve () through the continued operation of the evaporator pump () for a predetermined duration and through maintaining the electromagnetic valve () in open position after the engine has stopped for another predetermined duration before it is closed. The evaporator pump () is kept in operation upon closure of the electromagnetic valve () so as to allow the coolant to circulate in the circuit from the evaporator () to the boiler () passing through the exchanger (). Said system enables, when the engine is stopped, the zones containing residual deposits of absorbent to be diluted thereby preventing crystallization of said residual deposits.

Absorption cooling system for a motor vehicle

When using systems that use the principle of absorption for the production of cold there is a great delay between the starting of the installation and the production of cold. This delay is due to the necessary time for the production of vapour. According to the invention a storing device of cooling liquid under pressure is proposed that is used instead of the vapours produced by a boiler () when starting the installation. This storing is done in a receiver () commanded by two valves, one called upstream valve () and the other called downstream valve (). According to the invention the method consists in storing cooling liquid under pressure in a receiver and using this liquid under pressure when starting the installation.

Method and device for absorption cooling

The invention concerns a motor vehicle cooling and depolluting device designed for conditioning said vehicle passenger compartment and for cooling its cylinder block (). The elements of the device are connected through a main tube () containing an antifreeze liquid. The device also comprises a temperature and pressure control valve (), to maintain a constant pressure in the cylinder block () and located downstream of the cylinder block (), a ventilated water-air exchanger () enabling a motor vehicle passenger compartment to be cooled, a ventilated water-air exchanger () enabling a motor vehicle engine compartment to be cooled, at least a cold water tank () for cooling upon start-up of the motor vehicle and located between the ventilated water-air exchanger () and the evaporator () and a solenoid valve () for controlling the temperature inside the motor vehicle passenger compartment and located downstream of the ventilated water-air exchanger (). A water-fume exchanger (), located downstream of a water-fume exchanger (), serves to depollute the exhaust gases of an engine () by cooling said exhaust gases and condensing its hydrocarbon residues as well as by trapping the particles of said exhaust gases.

Motor vehicle cooling and depolluting device

The invention concerns a device for depolluting combustion gases set along the exhaust line of the gases. The device has a gas cooling chamber ( ) lowering the gas temperature to near 0 degrees Celsius. In one particular embodiment of the invention, the energy of the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine is used for providing the cold required for the depollution process.
